You’re unique, so why travel like the rest!
Our little tiny home on wheels started life as a school bus but has been completely transformed into a tasteful, comfortable and head turning adventure machine. We’ve created a space that lets you relax, unwind and provides a 360-degree view while you travel that no other RV can provide.
Thick 5” high-density foam sofa cushions transform into an oversize queen bed that can fit two adults and a small child (or dog) so sleeping is a dream. A full-size sink with a large 21-gallon fresh water tank can easily be refilled through the exterior fill hatch ensuring you keep hydrated after those long hikes (or naps). The on-board grey water tank can easily be emptied as needed.
The bus has ample storage space for clothes and food and a rear garage accessible from the back for hiking, climbing or extra gear.
The bus is fully insulated to keep you comfortable during the summer and warm at night. Though there is no air conditioner, all 10 windows can open for summer breezes to sweep over you and keep you cool all day and night. If you’re heading out during cooler months, the propane heater works like a charm and warms up the bus in minutes. To help the planet, we’ve installed a composting toilet, so you’ll never have to deal with yukky black water while you’re away.We prefer to cook most meals outside, but sometimes you just can’t wait that long for coffee in the mornings! The on board two burner propane cook-top lets you cook indoors for those times when starting a fire just takes far too much energy. Carbon Monoxide, Smoke and Propane detector along with a fire extinguisher ensure you and your family are safe. So, she looks pretty, but how does she drive? The bus had a complete mechanical over hall in 2018 and drives like a champ. The bus is Gasoline powered, has a 5-speed manual transmission and gets about 12MPG with a 60-gallon gas tank. It can keep up with highway speeds though it will slow down on very steep inclines. Just pull over into the right-hand lane, sit back and enjoy the view – there’s no rush to get anywhere when you’re on vacation anyways! It’s a big heavy bus for a shorty as it's built on a regular school bus truck chassis with dual rear wheels, so you’ll need to pay attention on height and weight restriction on older bridges and underpasses. The turning radius is great, and the bus is easily maneuverable and will fit in most regular parking spots, but sorry, she won’t fit in the Tim Horton's drive thru. The bus is 22’ long, 7’ wide, 10' tall and about 13,000 lbs unloaded. If you're not comfortable with a manual transmission or driving a large vehicle, we do not recommend renting our RV.We’ve boon-docked in the bus, stayed in Walmart parking lots (yes this is a thing!), but prefer provincial or federal campgrounds as they usually have hot showers and laundry facilities. Traveling from Toronto to Newfoundland, we found we were able to stay in remote campgrounds that regular RV’s couldn’t stay at because they required hookups. We’re happy to provide recommendation on where to stay and our experience traveling in the bus.The bus will include all the necessities for your travel. Plates, cutlery and camp mugs (for 2), an extra-large cooler, 2 camp chairs, pot and pan, dish soap, salt & pepper, Aeropress (like a French press), first aid kit, GPS, Bluetooth speaker, camp light, headlamps, and more. The bus is non-smoking and we ask that wet and dirty dogs be kept off the sofa. We can provide a comfy dog bed if you don’t have one.
So, if you’re looking for a unique one-of-a-kind experiences, then rent our Aventyr Bus today!
