Review summary

Very accommodating and communicative hosts
Hosts Steve and Karen are frequently described as helpful, accommodating, and responsive, making the experience smooth, especially for first-timers. One reviewer noted conflicting information and stressful billing.
Handles well, but low fuel efficiency
The 2018 C Class RV is praised for its power (V10 motor), smooth handling, and being clean and well-maintained for long trips. It accommodates 5 and is well-equipped. Noted cons are ~10 MPG and a failed DIY repair on an older coach.

5.0The RV was great! We towed a 1946 Willys Jeep on a trailer behind and it pulled the grapevine beautifully . Lots of power in the V10 motor! Everything worked as described and the trip was wonderful. Steve and Karen were very accommodating with the pick up and the delivery back.

2.0We really enjoyed this RV on our long Southwestern road trip, and the hosts were flexible with LA pickup / SF dropoff. However, post-rental billing and unprofessional communication were quite stressful. There were two consecutive billing miscalculations, both in favor of the hosts, and the billing calculations were more complicated than necessary, which raised some suspicions. A previously DIY-repaired area failed during completely normal use, but we were still charged $110 for it. When we questioned this, we were pressured to quickly pay a reduced $75 fee and warned that if delayed, a body-shop estimate would be higher and that insurance wouldn’t cover it with its high deductible, also a bit suspicious that they take advantage of this. Pros Works for 5 adults: beds + overhead bunk + dinette (about 10 minutes to convert), water enough for 2 nights if used sparingly. Reliable on the road for long distances (2500 miles). Well-equipped RV. Flexible pickup/dropoff logistics. Cons Terrible fuel efficiency (~10 mpg) 100 miles/day limit The two owners sometimes gave conflicting information, so what you hear at pickup may not match what you hear at drop-off. Time-consuming and stressful checkout process Billing miscalculations -> go over their calculations carefully! Old coach with sensitive DIY repairs -> Document these also on pickup paperwork, not just the pre-existing damages. In summary: document everything carefully, triple-check all charges, and be prepared for a tougher checkout process than expected.

5.0The RV compleatly met my expections. We spent 2 weeks and 2000+ miles in the RV. While it is a 2018 model it is in great condition. The CastelBlanco family has been great to work with.
