Have fun and explore Wyoming, but no off-roading in Shane—he’s got solid tires, but he’s not 4WD. This van is built for comfort and rides a little low for rough terrain.
No smoking or vaping in the van. That way it stays fresh for you and every guest after you.
Pets are welcome—as long as they’re trained. If your furry friend (or you) leaves behind a mess that can’t be cleaned with a quick reset, part of your deposit will go toward extra cleaning. We want every guest to roll into a van that doesn’t smell like someone else’s pup.
Shane’s got rubber floors, bug screens, and he’s built for fun. Just plan a little time at the end of your trip to tidy up—think reasonable, not pristine. We handle standard turnover, but extra level messes require extra effort and will cost more.
When you return the van (noon unless arranged otherwise), please:
Fill up the diesel tank (or we’ll do it for a fee)
Empty the grey water tank
Empty the toilet (or we’ll do it for a fee)
Top off the DEF if you’re on a long trip
Give the interior a quick once-over

We'll drop it off and pick it up for free at Jackson Hole Airport.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Shane is self-sufficient. He’ll come topped off with water, a fresh toilet, and a full battery. Sunlight and driving will keep things charged, but if you want to plug in, he comes with a 15-amp charging cord (or a higher watt campground plug if you’re staying longer). For extended rentals, we’ll show you how to refresh the toilet before you head out, and we’ll send you with a filter for filling the water tank.

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
How hard is it to drive? Shane parks anywhere—a grocery store, parking lot, you name it. No limitations in where you can park it. It turns great and is surprisingly stable for a higher vehicle, thanks to the wheels and balanced build. If you're not used to a manual emergency brake, don’t worry—it’s common to feel a little unfamiliar with it at first. We'll show you how to release it, and trust us, it took us a few tries when we first got Shane, too!

Where can I take it?
A.
You can drive it anywhere you would your own car—highways, roads, even the scenic route. We've upped the daily mileage limit to 150 miles so you can explore the country and still have time to camp. Just bring it back to us when you’re done. Note: no off-roading due to the water tank clearance.
