My wife and I converted this Chevy van into a camper in the summer of 2020 and drove it from Florida to Maine and then Utah. We love the van as it's easy to drive and great for stealth camping. You'll love it too! We call it Big Boda, with "Boda" being the name of the local taxis when we lived in Africa. It has a brand new transmission, brakes, tires, and battery, as well as cold A/C.Camper Overview
Touch screen stereo with bluetooth and maps, backup camera, and alarm. Camper additions include interior lighting, 2 way roof fan, portable fan, solar panel, solar-battery powered electrical outlet & USB jacks, with additional electrical outlets on engine-powered inverter, spacious storage with pullout drawers, shelving, and cargo space.
BED
Nice queen bed that extends to 76 inches long, with a bamboo mattress topper to make the bed soft and cool at night. Also includes linens and pillows.
Bathroom
Includes toilet (can be moved), bamboo sink, and lighted vanity mirror to make shaving/makeup easier.
Food Cooler
A 70 quart cooler keeps ice for up to 3 days and can also be used for camping.
Shower
A solar heated shower bag allows for showers outside. Simply hang it on the van's roof rack or a tree branch and use the hose. The sun heats the water quickly or you can heat some water on the gas stovetop and add it to the shower bag.
What's includedIncludes fresh bed linens, 2 pillows, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, and 5 gallons of fresh water.RecommendationsADD-ONS YOU CAN GET:CAMPING CHEF ADD-ON
Do you plan to cook? If so, have you added our Camping Chef add-on? It has everything you need to cook easily while camping or on the road!
Adds a portable 2 burner cooker (propane included), lighter, medium cast-iron skillet, frying pan, 2 pots, kettle, 4 sets of plates/bowls/cups/cutlery, collapsible sink to wash dishes, dish soap, wash rags, and grill cleaning brush. Utensils include: strainer, ladle, large spoon, spatula, tongs, measuring cups, funnel, can opener, bottle/cork opener, cutting board, scissors, chopping & paring knives, peeler, grater, & salt/pepper shakers.TABLE & CHAIRS ADD-ON
Check out our Camping Table/Chair add-on which adds 2 foldable chairs and a table.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE ADD-ON
Landing at JAX airport? We can pick you up or drop off the van for you.
Other things to noteNo large dogs or smoking or vaping in the van. No cooking with the propane burner in the van (due to fire hazard).Small to medium dogs or cats are allowed but may require a small additional cleaning fee if there's a substantial amount of per hair to remove afterwards. If your roundtrip will average more than 200 miles a day (example: 1200 miles over 3 days), then please ask us about the pricing as it may be different than what's listed. This is because high miles for a short rental can be costly for us with maintenance and repairs. Of course, when you rent more than a few days this usually isn't an issue, so it pays to vacation longer! :-)

Q.Can you pick me up or drop me off at the airport?
A.
Yes! We can provide a shuttle one-way or roundtrip to the JAX International airport in Jacksonville, FL. When booking, simply select the "Airport Shuttle" add-on. If you need both pickup AND dropoff, select the quantity as x2.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
One of the awesome things about our camper is that you don't have to learn how nor pay a campground for electric, water, and sewage hookups! The camper runs off of a battery that's charged by a solar panel. The fresh water tank can be filled up from a hose. And the gray water can simply be pulled out and dumped. This makes it less stressful not having to learn all of those things for a trip!

Q.Will I be able to charge my phone or other electronics?
A.
Yes! Our camper is powered by a 500watt battery that is charged by a solar panel. So any device can simply be plugged into the battery powered outlets to charge. Also, when the vehicle is running additional outlets by the driver's seat are powered and can be used.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We are usually quite flexible on the pick up time, including early morning or evening. The exception to that is if the vehicle isn't being returned by another renter until late morning, in which case 3pm would be the earliest pickup. As for returning the vehicle, drop-off time is by 11am unless we give approval for a later return time.
