RecommendationsRenters to furnish own bed linens, pillows, comforters, bath towels and any other items from the 'optional' list above they'd rather provide themselves. Other things to note2K max allowable tow capacity
Four solar panels & control unit available on request .
We typically provide the unit with approximately 1/2 tank of gas to allow for plenty of mileage to cross coastal or cascade ranges before needing to refuel. Given the size of the fuel tank (80gal), we've found it better to not carry the extra weight of a full tank over passes, and typically top off after. If you'd prefer a full tank at departure, please let us know ahead of pick-up and we'd be happy to accommodate. We ask that renters bring back the unit with approximately the same amount of fuel as provided at pickup.

Meet your host, Scott

Member since 2023

Family of four in the Portland Metro areas (Lake Oswego). We've owned our THOR RV for six years, and have enjoyed many family road trips together across the west coast. We don't use the RV as much as we would like (life seems gets in the way of recreation sometimes!), so we've decided to allow others to enjoy our unit when we aren't.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We store our unit in Wilsonville near the Elligsen Rd exit. We can either do pick-up/drop-offs there, or at our home in Lake Oswego in the Westlake neighborhood. We are also flexible on times, to accommodate schedules on both sides.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We have a whole checklist of 'things to know' about driving and operating our unit when we hand it over. However, since our unit is larger, the first tip is to treat it like a large truck. Take nice wide turns, and take it easy to start. Recommend the slow lane on the highways until you are more comfortable. And be ready for a little bit more 'rocking and rolling' down the road than you are used to when driving a passenger car or truck.
