Welcome to the “Bear’s Den!” Located in the beautiful northwoods of Minnesota, a short distance from Itasca State Park.About the unit:
The Bear’s Den is perfect for couples, a family with kids and/or your favorite furry friends. We have four younger children and it works great for us! It offers a beautiful private rear master bedroom/slide out with plenty of storage, a huge window to absorb some amazing views, queen sized bed, and a smart tv to catch up on your favorite shows on rainy nights.
The front area hosts a large U-shaped dinette that folds down to a bed. The living room offers another smart tv, and a fully equipped kitchen area with a sink, two burner cooktop, microwave, and a large refrigerator/freezer.In between the living and bedroom, the bright and airy bathroom offers a shower with skylight, toilet, and sink.Outside, we have a griddle to fry some eggs for breakfast or toss up some hibachi for dinner. There are outlets for additional lights or chargers, and even an outdoor shower to rinse off after a long day in the water! Our camper fleet is very popular for local cabin and lake homeowners needing extra sleeping space for get togethers and events. We love to help in these situations, but based on past experience, we have to require the following:Power: if your cabin does not have power that can handle a 30 amp camper, a generator rental is required.Restroom/showers: Our campers ARE NOT to be used as bathroom and shower facilities for all of your guests. Please rent a portable bathroom for this use.Proper use of the camper: You, as cabin owners will be trained to use the campers. There are also manuals in each one. If your guests are not present for the training, you are responsible for training them how to properly operate the components of the camper. If you do not adhere to these policies, there can be major damage to the camper which you will be responsible for.Feel free to contact me with questions!Thank you for looking! What's includedWhat's included:

Absolutely recommend! As first-time campers, we were thrilled with the experience. Amanda and her husband set everything up for us, responded promptly to all our questions, and were incredibly welcoming. The camper was clean and fully stocked, making it as convenient as staying at an Airbnb. Although our trip was cut short due to our child's illness, Amanda kindly refunded us for the unused night, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you, Amanda!

Absolutely amazing. Communication was top notch and camper was even better than anticipated. They literally had everything you could want already in the camper. Will definitely use again when we are back up at the lake!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I am a stay-at-home mom and the RV Rentals are my business, so I am able to be very flexible with drop off and pick up times. I will do my best to accommodate your time, depending on other reservations/turnaround times for cleaning and sanitizing.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
If you are at a campsite with "Full hookups," (like La Salle Rec Area), the site will have a hookup to plug the camper in, to plug the sewer hose in, and to attach water. A lot of sites are electric only, which means you will have to fill water (or we can) and dump the sewer at a dump site if you use the restroom. Detailed instructions on the power are located in the user manual I created for the camper.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We are here to help! If you are picking up, I will do a detailed walk through with you and answer any and all questions you may have. I also made custom videos and manuals on how to operate everything inside and out, how to hook up the camper, leveling, etc. I am always available during your trip to answer questions. If you opt for delivery, we will set everything up for you and go through how to operate everything.

Q.Can we "dry camp" or camp "off grid?"
A.
Absolutely! This is our favorite way to camp! We do require that you either provide or rent our generator, however. The reason for this is, even though the camper has solar, if the batteries are drained from too much use, it can ruin the battery and disable the slide mechanism on the camper (so you couldn't pack up and leave). In addition, the CO2 sensor will beep if there is no power, which is really annoying, I know this because it happened to us. ha.
