My favorite trip of all time was a 3-week road trip with my children in 2017 on our return trip from New Jersey to San Francisco. We headed up to New England and walked the historical trailhead downtown. We continued north where my kids and I enjoyed a lobster meal at Mabel's restaurant in Maine and played in the cool sands of Mother's Beach. Two days later, we saw the Niagara Falls (US side) and the gorgeous landscape I only imagined on postcards. We crossed over to Missouri and visited the Gateway Arch National Park and had us some scrumptious smoked BBQ meats. Indiana was where we camped and relaxed with s'mores. Heading up to South Dakota was scenic and friendly. There were so much to learn and see at the Mount Rushmore monuments. Next stop was Yellowstone National park where we saw the famous Old Faithful geyser spewing up hot water in the air. We camped for two days at Teton National Park and fished in this massive lake with beautiful landscape and clear blue skies. We picnicked beach-front for the day before heading back on the road. Camping at a KOA in Ely, NV for two nights was where we relaxed and ate more s'more and had Pizza delivered to our campsite. In between campsites and destinations, we shopped at Walmarts, filled up our fuel at truck stops, and ate at local joints only foodies salivate over on articles. We had the time of our lives and continue to explore until our hearts are full.
