RecommendationsFun and wonderful destinations:
If you have never been there, you won't want to miss the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon National Park, approximately 4 hours north. On the way you can visit the scenic, and world renowned, town of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, an easy 2 hours north of Phoenix.
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is home to Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam. While there don't miss taking a tour of the beautiful Antelope Canyon. Drive a few miles south of Page, along Route 89, and take a short walk to view the breathtaking Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River. Also, if you are traveling east of Flagstaff along the I-40 make sure to visit the amazing Petrified Forest National Park, the Painted Desert and Meteor Crater. Oh ya, pull off the I-40 at Winslow and live the Eagle's "Take it Easy" song by "Standin' on the corner...". It is "such a fine sight to see"!Visiting the Saguaro National Park south near Tucson you will see the magnificent Saguaro Cactus, unique only to Arizona and the Sonoran Desert. A short drive west of Tucson is the world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Also, an hour or so south of Tucson is the world famous western movie town of Tombstone, Arizona.Arizona has many historic and beautiful National Monuments including the Indian ruins of Montezuma Castle, Casa Grande Ruins, and Wupatki National Monument. Other scenic National Monuments include Chiricahua, Vermillion Cliffs, Walnut Canyon, Canyon de Chelly and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monuments. If you are traveling to southern Arizona, be sure to schedule a tour of Kartchner Caverns State Park, only recently discovered by two ASU students. For baseball fans, “Chica” is available to travel the Valley of the Sun, visiting your favorite Spring training baseball teams. The Chicago Cubs' beautiful Sloan Park and the Oakland A's spring training field, Hohokam Stadium, are only a few minutes drive. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, spring training home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies, is within 15 minutes. Other MLB teams that spring train in the metro Phoenix area are the Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels and Milwaukee Brewers. Some of the many major yearly events in the Phoenix area for which “Chica” is available include the FBR Phoenix Open, Barrett-Jackson Antique Auto Auction, Fiesta Bowl, Country Thunder Music Festival, NASCAR Subway Fresh 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, Diamondbacks' Chase Field, Arizona Renaissance Festival, and Family Reunions. Well, We love to cruise. So.... when we couldn't go on any more ocean cruises due to covid-19, we decided to start doing land cruises! We went out and bought our beautiful RV. You'll find us lately watching LOTS of YouTube, and manufacturers videos to get up to speed on how to best enjoy our new vacation home on wheels. A perk to land cruising, is we can take our pup Coco! We are looking forward to spending more vacation time with family, especially grandkids.

Mary and Hal were great to work with, and “Chica” was a wonderful home away from home for our group of 5 adults. Communication with Mary and Hal was fast and easy, and the RV was spotless. It was stocked with everything we needed plus some nice extras. The extra padding for the bed over the cab was very much appreciated! The RV was easy to drive and use, and we had tons of room. We would definitely rent “Chica” from Mary and Hal again!

Highly recommend! If you’re on the fence, look no further. Mary & Hal were amazing! They took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and that we understood how everything operated (they have incredibly detailed guides and videos available). There was plenty of space, everything was clean and well cared for and all the camping essentials were included (a big reason why we selected Chica). A great rental experience!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We are very flexible with pick up / drop off times, especially in the summer as key exchanges are more pleasant during the cooler parts of the day. Please understand, at times, that may not be possible, do to rentals either the day before, or the day after. Please message us with questions.

Q.What's included in your Fly-In Package Add-on?
A.
Due to high demand, we are introducing our “FLY-IN PACKAGE"!!! Are you flying in for your adventure? For only $150 we bundle 2 way airport transportation (pick up and drop off to match your flight plans), our extra bedding package add-on, 2 extra towels and hand towels, and a case of bottled water. After we meet you at the airport curb, we go to a nearby Walmart parking lot for orientation, and key exchange. After which you are free to purchase your favorite groceries and begin your adventure.

Q.What should I bring when taking your RV?
A.
Bring extra pillows and bed linens Unless unless you have selected the $40 bedding add-on. Your favorite brand of coffee to enjoy in the early mornings. A picnic table cloth and clamps will come in handy if you like eating outdoors. Remember to bring your shower gel/shampoo, all of your personal items, and favorite food & beverages. Instead of hard sided suitcases we suggest using collapsible containers or duffle type bags, because storage is limited.

Q.How many people can your RV accommodate?
A.
Even though Chica can sleep up to 8 people, we advertise it at 6 people, because that is the number of seat belts which are in the RV. Two full size queen beds can each sleep two adults. Two on the main bed in the back and two on the overhead loft bed up front. Additionally, the jack-knife sofa and the converted dinette can each sleep two people who are up to 5 foot 4 inches tall, or so.
