The two of us had an amazing time in the Shoebill Carpenter. Our road trip to Cape Breton was ambitious but the van was very comfortable both on and off the road. Manuel did a great job in his conversion of the van. It has more than enough storage space and the bed was comfy for a person of 1.98m. Manuel was readily available for questions and some roadside assistance. Would recommend!

Manuel’s answer

Thank you Sophie!

Q.Is there a toilet in the vehicle?
A.
No, but after years of testing it's not so much of a problem. There will always be a McDonald's to greet your butt on the road, and this will save you from having to clean the toilet and deal with gray water.

Q.Is there heating?
A.
Is there heating? No, but the vehicle is very well insulated and the heat accumulated during the day will allow you to sleep comfortably even with just 10 degrees outside.

Q.Is there a stove and sink inside?
A.
No. The space is too small. The vehicle is mainly for moving and sleeping; you will be outside most of the time! Cooking and eating outside is great with the giant kitchen drawer, hidden sink and the propane stove. --- Non.

Q.Why "Shoebill Carpenter"?
A.
Shoebill is an endangered African bird fleeing civilization. Carpenter is in reference to the vehicle design; it is entirely designed to look like a company work truck so that it will go unnoticed.
