Renters Beware The camper in the photos is not the same camper you will be renting. The location of the camper is different than listed on the app by about 30 minutes. The listing photos are all stock photos and not of the actual camper. Upon arrival the camper appeared abandon. The exterior was extremely dirty and the front shell of the camper was coming off allowing bugs and moisture into the camper. The rims in the photos were different. The camper has mismatched cheap steel wheels with cheap bias tires. The front tongue jack was broken. Jeremy provided a 1/4 drive socket to manually turn it which after 5 minutes another person stopped buy with a floor jack to help get onto my truck. During that time the camper fell off the jack after realizing there were wheel chocks. The safety breakaway was broken and not long enough to reach my truck nor was there a way to secure it to my truck. We had plans to camp with a bunch of friends and needed a camper or we would have walked away. Outdoorsy won’t allow same day reservations so we were out of luck to rent a different one. Upon entering the camper you immediately notice the torn up couch, wood details hanging off, and the kitchen table was missing 1/4 of the linoleum off of it. The fridge had old food in it that had molded and was very smelly. Kitchen sink had gunk and mildew built up. Kitchen sink faucet has a crack in it so when you turn the water on it sprays water everywhere. Stove was covered in grease and food. Microwave had food splatter all over. The toilet had poop and pee on and around it. There were no linens on the beds. The beds were nothing like what the picture showed and were very uncomfortable. The toilet had an obvious leak. Several kitchen cabinets were broken. So instead of heading to the campground I headed back to my house for us to spend about 3 hours cleaning. When I got back home and opened it up it smelled like nasty sewer. The drive home charged the batteries up enough to show the black and grey water tanks were full…. Absolutely disgusting. After a super deep clean we left to go camping. I checked the tire pressure. They ranged between 35-50psi… not safe. When we got to the camp site we had to take the time to empty and rinse both the grey and black tanks out. Then we vacuumed the new dirt that bounced free during the trip. The front driver side leveling jack was also damage and hardly useable causing the camper to shift when walking in it. I tried to use a 1/2” dewalt impact to get the tongue jack to work. It didn’t have enough power so I had to use a long 1/2” breaker bar. To level the camper took almost 20 minutes of rotating. I was drenched in sweat. Based off the rust the tongue jack had been broken for a long time. So unless you are strong, you probably wont be able to disconnect the camper without supplying your own breaker bar and ready for a workout. The smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors do not work. The fridge took 30 hours to start working after multiple faults. The valves to open and close the drain on the grey and black water were missing the handles. The shower head had a split on the seam of the handle that half the water came out of when showering so you had really low pressure. Everyone opted for the shower houses because of the non functioning shower head. Then instead of showing up to return the camper he just gave you a gate code to return. I think it’s because he didn’t want to be confronted about the bait and switch he does. Overall a non suitable option. Jeremy was a super nice guy but honestly the bait and switch makes him a scammer in my book. Do not rent this camper or any other camper from him. If he was honest he would put actual photos of his dilapidated camper on this app, and then no one would rent it based off the pictures alone. Note, most of these photos were taken after we cleaned for several hours. It was in much worse condition at pickup.
