Fla-Net Park Campground

Take a trip through a virtual scenic tour of state parks, nature preserves, along with countless freshwater ponds and lakes as you head west from Clifton to the Fla-Net Park Campground. The drive takes about an hour along the Interstate 80, and if you can spare another twenty minutes, take the scenic route along the northern loop of New Jersey country roads. This route passes through Farney State Park and Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. Fla-Net Park seeks to recreate a rustic, authentic wilderness experience complete with spring fed ponds and gravel roads. Guests are welcome to use paddle boats in the water, and indulge in some catch and release fishing. There are several sites spacious enough for even your biggest rig and a toy trailer, and they also include electricity hookups. Seasonal amenities at the park include a swimming pool, laundry room, and a comfort station that includes hot showers. Guests can enjoy paddle boats, playground, and a rec room at any time of the year.

Croton Point Park is nestled on a small peninsula that stretches into the Hudson River about 25 miles northwest of Greenwich. The park is 500 acres of peaceful, forested riverside, and provides space for both tents and RVs. There are several full-service RV hookups, but only with 30 amps. Several options for recreational activities exist literally steps away from your doorstep at Croton Point Park, including boating, fishing, and hiking. There?s also a boat launch if you?re hauling your own watercraft. Croton Point Park also has a nature center that hosts weekly events and organizes other programs throughout the year. The site itself is conveniently located near the junction of Interstate 9A and the Hudson River Line, making public transit readily available if you want to go to nearby cities like New York, or any of the other outlying New England communities. Iconic locations like Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown mark the way south to Yonkers, the Bronx, and finally Manhattan.
Liberty Harbor RV Park

Liberty Harbor RV Park is in Jersey City, just nine miles away from East Orange in New Jersey. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore East Orange, and it is in a lovely setting with views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. If you want to visit Manhattan, there is a tour bus that leaves from right outside the park. If you like boats, Liberty Harbor Marina is right next door, and there is a ferry to New York from here.There are 50 sites at the park, all with water and electric hookup. You will find restrooms and showers here, can get WiFi from the office, and there is 24-hour security. If you enjoy walking, there are easy trails close by. You are also only a short stroll away from coffee shops, and there are two grocery stores within a mile away. If you want to stay at the park in the evening, but don't want to cook, there is a restaurant and bar on site, serving delicious meals. Of course, you may want to venture out, and East Orange has a fantastic range of restaurants, including sandwich bars, pizza places, soul food, and fine dining.

A green oasis with 1,212-acres, in the middle of an urban jungle. Visitors enjoy spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, a historic transportation building can be found here. From here you can take Statue Cruises which offer ferries to Statue of Liberty National Monument, Ellis Island and Liberty Island.
Thomas Paine Cottage
New Rochelle, NY
If American history is one of your interests you should visit the Thomas Paine Cottage when you are in New Rochelle, New York. Paine?s eloquent writing played an essential role in the American Revolution. Thomas Paine Cottage is the last structure in North America that the Founding Father owned as his home and is open to the public as an historic house museum. The Cottage contains some of the few artifacts still in existence that were once owned by Thomas Paine: a simple chair and a cast-iron stove given to Paine by Ben Franklin himself. The Cottage is located on the last two acres of a 300 acre farm awarded to Paine by a grateful New York State for his services in the struggle for independence. The site also includes the Sophia Brewester One-room Schoolhouse, the oldest free-standing school in New Rochelle. The front room of the Cottage is set up to reflect what life was like during the 18th century.

Wildwood State Park
Wildwood State Park comprises 600 acres of undeveloped hardwood forest terminating on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. RV facilities include pull-thru sites, big rig access, and waterfront access. Trailer and tent sites are available for campers. Swimmers can take advantage of the cool waters of the Sound, and picnickers can relax at shaded picnic tables as their children enjoy the nearby playground. Visitors can fish and use the hiking and cross-country ski trails.This park is huge. All roads are paved. Nice bike riding. and hiking trails. Access to beach very rocky shore. Close enough to town but you get the rustic camp atmosphere. Wildwood State Park is located 22 southeast of Milford in Wading River, New York. You are guaranteed to enjoy your stay in one of New York?s most beautiful parks. You can wake up in the woods near the St. Lawrence River or one of the many scenic lakes. This is a very peaceful location for your East Coast travels.
