Jeep Renegade Upland with AWD and a roof top tent now available for rent. Fully outfitted for your next adventure. Has dual battery and Dometic fridge, cools to freezing temperatures. Includes charger to keep battery topped up. Coleman stove and 1st propane tank included, as well as cookware and basic dishes. Satellite radio, Bluetooth etc. 1.5" lift kit for a bit of extra clearance! Optional solar panel available, recommended if you are staying put for more than a day at a time.In winter this jeep has snow tires, great for snow camping at Tahoe! One of the very few trucks in the Bay area with AWD and 3 peak rated snow tires. (Not all season.) Fly by chain controls. In winter outfitted with a trailer mount ski rack when requested; in summer with a four bike rack.Great little Jeep for running down forest service roads and camping on BLM land. Get off the grid. Need advice on where to camp? Just reach out to us!What's includedI outfitted this as my weekend toy. I cautiously rent it on Outdoorsy. Please be really careful not to scrape him up, especially when using tent and racks. The built in ladder is useless...except it looks cool and can help you access ladder stored in the tent. Do not use it to climb in and out of the tent.in the tent you will find a ladder bag, with telescoping ladder. Hook it to one of the mounts on either side. You will also find two rods in a long bag. Typically I wont use them...unless its raining. These stick into the two holes in the rear of the tent, and are used to secure the fly. However the rear hatch wont clear them, and I find it blocks the view. Instead I usually just tuck the rear fly up above the windows for improved star gazing!.Please, if at all possible put down the tent when its dry. Moisture in it for a few days can cause mold and mildew. If you can't due to rain, open it to air out as soon as you can. And let us know if it wasn't dry when it was put away. I sometimes won't get to it right away so I can air it out - and mold will cost thousands to fix.If using the fridge, remember it will only run off the secondary battery for a day or two, depending on weather. it will take a few hours of driving to bring it up. I recommend renting the optional solar panel kit..(Listed as as camping gear) Just hook it up to the quick disconnect which I will leave visible by the fridge, and place the panel in the sun. You can also use the battery charger included in the rental. Charger is tucked down with the spare tire. You would have to pull out fridge to access, just be careful removing floor board. Lift slightly and then pull out. Charger plugs into the grey quick disconnect, (Same connector the solar panel uses). Small inverter is in the glove box. It's low output, designed for running laptops etc. When driving you can plug in up front, otherwise when camping plug it into the 12V cigarette lighter adapter next to grey quick disconnect noted above. Also use this outlet for charging phones, iPad etc.If rented as optional bike rack, just be sure to secure your bikes well. I don't want scrapes on my truck!Bring the Jeep back with a full tank to avoid extra charge. That's it. Have fun!RecommendationsThis truck is great for getting out onto BLM lands, and doing some camping in the middle of nowhere. Great on calmer forest service roads. In it's short life, it's spent a lot of time in Tahoe, Stanislaus National Forest (next to Yosemite). Road tripped to Utah, Grand canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion, Mojave Desert. And of course the California coast.
