You will not find quality RV camping close to Lafayette, Indiana. You will have to be willing to travel to find a quality location. Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, in Berea, Ohio offers a great RV camping destination. This is about a 4 hour drive from Lafayette This RV camping facility is just a few minutes from Interstate-71 and offers easy access to Ohio Turnpike. The Cleveland?s Hopkins International Airport is just a few miles from this RV campground. It is around 12 miles south of the city of Cleveland. This RV camping facility is close to many notable attractions of the area. These include Berea ? Mahler Museum & History Center, Coe Lake and Gazebo, Cleveland Browns, Metroparks, Lou Groza Boulevard, and Berea?s Train Depot. This RV campground is a few blocks away from the city?s 5 primary shopping areas. In addition, there are golf courses nearby. Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds covers 117 acres including indoor exhibit space.

With close to a mile of riverfront property near where the Vermilion River empties into Lake Erie in Lorain, Ohio, Riverview RV Park offers visitors unique scenic views of wilderness areas, and high shale cliffs that make for a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the park. Located just two minutes from the public beach, the Vermilion city swimming pool, and Mill Hollow Park, Riverview RV Park hosts plenty of grassy campsites and several pull throughs with electrical, fresh water, and gray water hookups, plus a honey bee sewage service once or twice a week. Spacious and roomy enough to accommodate even a big rig, the sites are simple and rustic with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Good river access is available for canoeing, kayaking and boating. Fishing is possible from some of the sites or at the community areas, and the park is well maintained boasting large, open grassy areas which are great for the kids to play on.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
For any of you out there who is a music fan, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is the perfect place to go. As you approach the museum, you will hear music blaring out of speakers, and there is quite often a band playing in the grounds. The design of the building is spectacular, the highlight being a glass pyramid. There is so much to see here that you should reserve the whole day for visiting. You can go to the cafe and get a light lunch, while looking out onto the lake. There are quite a few floors, so it's probably best to start at the basement. Here there is plenty of music history and many artifacts, such as instruments and clothes belonging to the stars, as well as original song notes, personal effects, and recording equipment. The exhibits come from all genres of music and different eras, starting from the early 1900s. There are less exhibits as you go up the floors , but there are interactive music booths, which are great fun for both adults and children. On the top floor, there is an auditorium which plays videos about different stars an music in general. In addition, they have temporary exhibits and evening concerts.
Streetsboro/ Cleveland SE KOA

Pull-Through, Full Hookups with 50/30 amp and cable sites offer easy entrance and exit and long enough to handle your rig and tow without unhooking. Perfect for the larger pop ups smaller travel trailers and motorhomes. Dump station available. Book early, you'll be glad you did. Back-in, Water/Electric, 30/20 Amp with Cable are great sites for pop up or tent campers who want a little more. Near the restrooms. These go quickly so be sure to book right away.After you are taken to your site, you can take a stroll back to the General Store to see what treats will tempt you. There are the many varieties of fresh fudge (made right here) or a plethora of wonderful flavors of ice cream that will make your taste buds happy.
Timber Ridge, Campground
If you are looking for a campground close to Elyria in Ohio, Timber Ridge Campground is an excellent choice. It's only 11 miles away from Elyria, so you won't have far to travel to the city. You get full hookup and WiFi, and there are restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The setting is beautiful, with large green open spaces, plenty of trees, and a large lake. There is lots to keep you occupied if you want to spend the day at the campground. You can swim in the indoor pool or the lake, where you can also go boating and catch and release fishing. There are two playgrounds, a games room for kids, an adult arcade, a lounge for teens, basketball, and shuffleboard. They even offer some meals at the weekends and special events are put on, such as bingo and karaoke. There are wineries in the area, antique stores, and pick your own fruit farms. Elyria has plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as golf courses and a nature preserve.
