I had several issues with the camper. I had it rented for 12 days for a trip to CO with my daughter and we came home early from the trip. There was a terrible smell from the sewer/toilet area that intensified and flushing the tank and adding chemicals did not help. It made being in the camper miserable. The shower leaked water onto the floor and the refridgerator door would not stay closed when traveling and we had to throw food out. We were in contact with Open Road Rentals by day 2 or 3, hoping to get the issues solved. We had to drive to an RV mechanic and spent time and gas, and the mechanic wasn't able to fix the problem without us leaving the camper with him and us finding a different place to stay. Open Road Rentals knew we had ongoing issues and did not bother to check back with us to see if the leaking shower was fixed. The mechanic from CO checked in with us several times to see how we were doing but I would have expected to hear from the rental company. Their silence did not go unnoticed. I also paid for the Peace Of Mind insurance almost $500 to ensure a smooth trip but these issues were not covered with the insurance plan. I sent a message to Open Road Rentals when I got home detailing the issues we had and asking to be reimbursed for gas money spent to travel to see the mechanic and for having to throw food out and cutting our trip short due to the terrible smell. They did not respond to me and that was 5 days ago.

What a great and flexible owner! Open Road Rentals came through for us after our 4 month in the planning camping trip with our original camper rental was canceled with one weeks notice. Open Road Rentals was able to outfit us with just 3 days notice, even with a bike rack. THANK YOU!!!! The Bushwhacker Plus has the basics and is one of those smaller campers that we were able to pull with our van. It was perfect for our family reunion in the Chippewa National Forest!

We rented this trailer for a two week road trip out West. We visited Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Badlands National Park and Mt Rushmore. We upgraded to the trailer for the bathroom and shower due to the campgrounds facilities being closed due to Covid. This trailer comes equipped with everything you need to start camping. Justin's communication was great before and during the trip when we had questions on the road. We towed it with our Toyota Highlander and it was easy to tow. Justin provided the adjustable hitch, sway bar and wireless brake controller (if needed). We decided to install our own brake controller. Our gas mileage typically ranges between 20-25 mpg but towing the trailer over mountains it went down to approx. 10mpg. Something to be aware of. This trailer is perfect for two people and easy to set up. We did not use the A/C or heater but we used the water heater for showers and dishes. The black and grey water tanks are small. We found we could go 2-3 days before needing to dump the tanks. This trailer is in new condition and functioned well for a long distance road trip. I would highly recommend renting from Justin and Open Road Rentals.

My wife and I took off across the western United States for a month, which made for an incredibly fun and rewarding RV adventure. Open Road - and Justin in particular - was a wonderful facilitator of our adventure. They shared tips and experience in getting us ready for this trip and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. The rig itself was in perfect working order and all was as promised in the booking. Can't recommend these folks enough. If you haven't used an RV before, they are here to help!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time camping thanks to renting the Bushwhacker Plus through Open Road Rentals! We communicated multiple times prior to booking in order to ensure that the trailer was appropriate for the towing capacity of our vehicle. The trailer itself was clean and well equipped with all the necessarily amenities for camping. We had no problem fitting two adults, a 4 year old, and an 8 year old on the trailer’s tsleep surface, and our 80 lb lab had plenty of room to sleep on the floor space! The wet bath was exactly what we needed in order to avoid using public restrooms in this COVID-19 era. Though the small black water tank necessitated almost daily emptying, the battery charge lasted the full four days on our non-electric campsite (with using the fan at night, limited use of lighting, and conservative showing/water pump use). Open Road Rentals was a pleasure to rent through, and we can’t recommend their services enough!
