WOW, 5 stars truly is not close to enough for our experience with HUGO & Kevin. Hugo had EVERYTHING we needed for a week of exploring Alaska: cookware, propane, bear spray, coffee, clean sheets / comfortable bed & pillows, and so much more. HUGO was so clean and comfortable. We were able to explore so many parts of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula without worrying about being stuck in one place. Every single day we would ask Kevin for his recommendation on where to explore, hangout, and camp. He knows ALL of the spots and was quite literally automatic in his detailed responses to us via text. We saw so many beautiful places that we would have never been able to do if we had opted for a hotel room or a different rental vehicle with a host who doesn’t know the state the way that Kevin does. We are already planning our next trip to Alaska and the first thing we will be doing is hitting up Kevin for recs and of course, HUGO! If you’re looking for the best possible way to see the amazing state of Alaska, look no further.

This is the first time to use a camper van. And I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience it was for me and my girlfriend. There was plenty of room and Kevin had everything dialed in for our adventure. Small touches like having the Milepost and a 2024 Alaska State parks sticker wasn’t lost on us. He was very responsive with anything we had questions about during our trip. Thanks Kevin for being an awesome host!

Kevin from Look Like a Local was fantastic. We didn’t want for rent a car and make hotel reservations only to be tied to an itinerary. We rented HUGO the sprinter van. HUGO was the perfect way to see Alaska. We went everywhere and explored more than we imagined we would. HUGO had everything we needed, comfortable, roomy for 2, easy to drive and very capable whether we were on a dirt road or parking lot. Kevin was a great communicator checking in before our trip to be sure we were all set and even during our trip. It’s obvious Kevin loves Alaska and that he cares we left loving Alaska, which we did. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to visit and explore this beautiful state. Highly recommend Look Like a Local!
