The lake features a lovely sandy beach, which is open from late May until mid-September and is a popular spot for visitors looking to cool off. There's also a snack bar nearby if you'd like to wash your swim down with an ice-cream. The other must-visit attraction in Hickory Run State Park is Boulder Field. Covering a flat patch of terrain measuring 400 x 1,800 feet, this remarkable area is covered with large boulders, some of which measure 26 feet long. It was created around 15,000 years ago when the Earth's climate began to warm, and it's been drawing photographers, geologists, and nature enthusiasts to Hickory Run State Park for decades.
