It's located inside a renovated auto mechanic shop that has purposefully retained the auto shop feel in its interior, even including a photo that commemorates the mechanic who previously owned the place. Local’s favorite, Pinocchio’s Restaurant, is a circa-1955 pizza spot that gives the kiddos raw dough to play with and offers the adults an extensive craft beer selection. Like its sister town, Swarthmore, Media also has the 320 Market Cafe, a cafe that is known for its unique beer selection as well—but also natural wines, fancy cheeses, and freshly-baked breads. For entertainment, head to the Media Theatre, a restored old venue used for musicals and plays. With beautiful chandeliers, dark wood paneling, and an elegant bar, the theater has a vintage feel to it. And if one theater isn't enough, Media also has the Hedgerow Theatre. Originally a gristmill, Hedgerow is another converted rustic building that provides an old-fashioned experience to its visitors. After catching a show, stop by the free Pennsylvania Veterans Museum. The museum has a great collection of military history and its displays are primarily made up of gifts from veterans and their families dating back to the Civil War. If you prefer, the veteran volunteers will escort you and explain each and every item that you see. While in town, check out the Rose Valley Museum at Thunderbird Lodge. This museum is inside a historical building, a circa-1790 stone barn, and was part of the Arts and Crafts movement in America.
