Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I am somewhat flexible, but please contact me to inquire about pick up and drop off times.
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Yes, the main thing is the weight distribution hitch, which I will set up during the pickup and explain in more detail. You will be using my ball hitch as it is specific for the system. It is also important to have a fully functional 7-pin plug on your vehicle. Some vehicles have the 7-pin plug, but do not have all of the features or pins functional. Please verify this before the booking and trip. The most common feature that is not enabled is the braking.
Q.
How do you set up the electric and water hookups?
A.
The electric and water hookup is at the rear of the trailer and should be hooked up immediately after putting the stabilizing jacks down. Usually the electric cord on the trailer is long enough, but I do supply an extension cord as well. The water (city water) fitting connects to a hose and I supply two lengths of hoses that can be connected together if needed. Please connect the ends of the hoses together when not in use or after use to keep them clean.
Q.
How do you dump the black and grey water tanks?
A.
First hook up the hose to the trailer at the rear drivers side of the trailer. Connect the other end of the hose to the dumping fitting at your campsite or dump station. Always pull the black water tank (toilets) valve first to allow that to fully drain. Then pull the grey water valve. This allows the hose to be flushed with the grey water (sinks and shower). If possible and available, rinse the hose with fresh water before stowing. Valves should be closed when not dumping.
