Learn moreWe've loved camping around Northern California in our Chalet camper, and want to share the experience with you. We used to owned a traditional popup, and got tired of the labor involved in cranking it up, and the low ceiling. What a difference with an A-Frame! When traveling the 4 walls come down, but while camping the trailer has a very tall center ceiling. There's an electric lift for easy setup, and it takes just a few minutes to accomplish.
There's a queen-sized bed, and the dining table converts to a smaller bed for one adult or two small children. The kitchen has a double sink, 3-burner stove, and fridge/freezer. The water tank holds 15 gallons and there's hot and cold water for the sink and indoor/outdoor shower. Cassette toilet. All windows are curtained. A "Fantastic" ceiling fan keeps things cool and a propane heater keeps you warm at night. A solar panel tops off the battery while you're off grid. There's plenty of storage for your gear. Inside it's 18 feet long.
It's a relatively lightweight 2200 pounds so it can be towed by an SUV or truck with a 3500 lb. towing capacity. The 7-pin blade connector works in tandem with the towing vehicle brake lights. The 2-inch hitch works with a provided weight distribution system and sway bar, so all you need is a 2" square hitch receiver.

The trailer met our needs and we had a lovely visit to the northwest. Easy setup, take down and hookup and the trailer was comfortable (with heat) even on freezing nights. Owner was reachable and in communication when needed. The owner also compensated issues when they arose.
Dan was extremely friendly and helpful in preparing us. The trailer itself was easy to set up, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a casual trailer camping experience. It helped that we are experienced trailer campers, but the rental was very easy.
The Chalet was a really fun experience and I'd recommend to anyone wanting to be in nature/campgrounds while having more comfort than a tent.
Dan was on top of all the details and always responded quickly. As soon as we arrived where he had the trailer he gave us a complete run down on how the trailer worked.
Unfortunately, our car had a wire issue and the lights were not working. That same da…
Dan is a fantastic host. Walked me though everything so that I was very prepared. This was my first RV rental, so I appreciated his willingness to respond to all my questions before, and during, the trip.
The Chalet itself was a treat. It was just me and my two kids, which was just the right size. Refrigerator didn't work, but otherwise everything worked fine.
The description of the trailer was accurate. We were a little nervous about renting and towing a trailer for the first time, but Dan was a pleasure to rent from and very thorough with the orientation. We would definitely rent the trailer again. My family had a great time.
Todd, glad to hear you enjoyed the trailer!
