With just about any towable RV over 1000 lbs you are going to need an electric brake controller and they don't come standard just because you have a tow package. If you don't know what one is you probably don't have one and they are a requirement for pick up and safety. This RV is a 1/2 ton and mid size SUV (when properly equipped with a brake controller) towable Toy Hauler. This thing is only 19 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 3200 pounds, but has all the amenities for a comfortable adventure. You can either boondock running the fridge, heat, and hot water off propane, or plug it in and run everything off electric. Can haul two small quads, golf cart, a pair of motorcycles, kayaks, etc. and still sleep 4+ using the full bed, twin bunk, and sleeper dinette. I will rent it with a load equalizing hitch and sway bar, as well as strap on tow mirrors if you need them (I don't with my truck). I get a lot of questions about the size of the loading area and I think some people get confused. The loading area is 60" deep by 80" at it's widest and 79" deep but only 59" wide between the wheel wells. Height through the back door us around 6 feet. I can fit a 14' kayak in the middle with the nose under the bed but that is only because kayaks are narrow..Other things to noteElectric Brake Controller must be installed prior to pickup or the booking will be canceled with no refund of deposit since it will most likely not be rented out for the days you booked. Suv's with tow packages typically DO NOT have factory brake controllers, but most newer trucks do. There should be a picture of a trailer with a slider to + and - the power to the brakes for adjusting to conditions, i.e. freeway speed vs. stop and go traffic.

Review summary

Flexible, communicative, and helpful

Daniel and his wife were consistently praised for being nice, accommodating, and easy to contact. They fully explained the RV, were flexible with requests, and even delivered it.

Pulls great, challenging to park

The lightweight toy hauler pulls great, though maneuvering it in and out of the owner's driveway can be tricky. It fits motorcycles and has AC, fridge, stove, and a screen ramp. Noted issues: missing bathroom door/table, rusty support legs, and TV problems.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

A lot, depending on your RV knowledge and ability to back a trailer. I work a 9-5 job, but the RV is normally available for pick up and drop off anytime if I am not there.

I am not a business. I am a private owner that wants to offer up my rather unique RV that is easily SUV towable that can haul a toy, maybe two, and still sleep 5 for a decent price. Having said that I am not available to pickup during most business hours and work a lot of weekends. My wife is available most weekends with prior coordination. So last minute bookings, if you're not flexible on pick up and drop off times I am probably not the Rental for you. Thanks and happy glamping.
