Review summary
Goes above and beyond expectations
Keira consistently provides quick, informative communication, offers proactive walkthroughs, accommodates requests, and gives helpful suggestions, even mailing a forgotten wallet.
Drives easily, highly fuel efficient
The van offers a huge, comfortable bed, ample counter/storage space, and solar-powered amenities like lights, fridge, and stove. Its heater is also very fuel-efficient.

5.0Everything was perfect with The Big Black Campervan. Thanks Keira!!! It ran great the entire time and was great on gas. We loved the simple and clean layout with tons of counter space!!! and lots of storage, lots of hooks to hang stuff on, great lighting and everything worked very well. A huge and very comfy bed was a bit of a luxury compared to our little Westy. It was a chilly weekend so we ended up using the heater a fair amount and noticed its quite efficient with only using a very small amount of diesel fuel. Keira was fantastic to deal with throughout the whole rental process and she really has done a great job with this RV . . . a bit of a Rock Star actually. Looking forward to the next time. P and L

5.0My experience with the campervan was wonderful, but the review is for the host. Keira went out of her way to make our trip the best it could be. I really think our experience would have been much different if it weren't for Keira's communication, flexibility, and kindness. Thank you and we can't wait to get back to Vancouver Island.

5.0We rented Keira’s Big Black Campervan for 5 nights in Tofino and had a blast! This was our first time traveling with a “home on wheels” and it was such an easy, stress free way to go. The van is really spacious for two people and the bed is super comfortable! We really appreciated all the extra touches like cards, crib board and frisbee, which we forgot to bring. Thanks Keira for sharing your campervan with us. We will definitely rent her again!

Frequently asked questions
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the van easily?
A.
I will supply you with a comprehensive list for operating the van, and everything in the van for your trip, as well as walking you through anything you'd like help with during the key handover. No need to stress!
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
My current schedule allows me to be quite flexible with pick and drop off times. I know flights and ferries get delayed so again, no need to stress! I can accommodate a changing schedule, just keep me updated :)
Q.
What is supplied for making coffee?
A.
A critical question! I supply a pour over coffee setup. Perfect for anyone from the low maintenance coffee drinker to the coffee enthusiast. There is not a coffee grinder, but there is a magic bullet that can be used in a pinch. Please supply your own pre-ground beans!
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The house batteries automatically charge with solar and while driving keeping the batteries topped up. If you are set up in the shade and not doing any driving, it may be necessary to charge the batteries with shore power/AC power. I supply a shore power adapter and extension cord to allow you to charge the house batteries via a standard outlet if needed. The van has a large fresh water tank, so no need for water hookup. Sewage hookup not applicable.
