Video Van Tour (copy/paste link text into browser): https://youtu.be/ct6P3zj1pSE?si=kthsVcJVsaLuap4NLady Leona is a 2011 Mercedes Sprinter, and she's beautiful on the inside...Leona is a fully custom job with every detail considered. She sports a full Solar electrical suite with 400W solar array, 300AH lithium battery bank, and a 3000W inverter with enough juice to power any of the household items (microwave/electric kettle/blow dryer). For waterworks, she hosts a 30 gallon water tank, outdoor hose, 2.5Gal electric water heater, and hot/cold water connections to the sink and shower. There is also a 2-burner range, dual zone refrigerator, cabin heater, microwave, ceiling fan, WeBoost signal amplifier, and dedicated wifi. For sleeping, she boasts a memory foam Queen Size bed which can be pushed back to enjoy outdoor lounging and access to more storage, though the overhead cabinets already provide ample storage. We spent months working remote from this van, so it is designed to the detail for comfort and utility. The van will be Fully stocked with all of the day-to-day things you need (and what you don't know you need). This includes: linens, towels, pans, spatula, sharp knife, silverware, cutting board, spices, paper towel, toilet paper, scissors, can cozies, lighters, flash lights, etc... What's included- Clean Linens (Bedding, spare blankets, Bath towels, rags, dish towels)
Cookware
- Electric Heated Blanket
- Clean Kitchenware and Metal Utensils
- Full water tank
- Appliances and chargers
Other things to noteAt the moment, we are not allowing trips over the border to Mexico. Please no smoking!

Meet your host, Andrew

Member since 2023

I grew up in Wisconsin and have lived in different parts of the country that introduced me to different perspectives of the outdoors (Denver, Seattle, Omaha, San Diego). I am an avid outdoorsman and love traveling with my wife and dog. I have gotten great use of my camper van, both for working remote and facilitating my hobbies (hiking, surfing, snowboarding, diving, biking, etc). I hope she can give you the same joy. Cheers!

5 stars!
Look - Lady Leona is going to treat you right. This van was created with so much care and attention to detail. The kitchen is great to cook in, pulling out the bed to watch the sunset, opening up the doors for a cross breeze, and even using the wifi to download one silly TV show for a rainy afternoon. This van was so easy to live out of for a week, and it was even the envy of our other friends who have rigs of their own. Taking a trip where we could wake up to the beautiful landscapes of Southern California was pretty unbeatable. It is camping, though. So hopefully folks who are renting are ready to be adaptable - we learned what a cloudy day can do to a solar battery! But Andrew is a really great resource and was so helpful in making sure we had a smooth ride the whole way. We'd do it again in a heartbeat and hopefully you'll have a great time with the Lady too!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
The timing can be flexible, and we can discuss specifics on a case by case basis. I also offer delivery within 25miles, which means I can pick you up and drop you off at the airport.

Q.Does 100 miles per day apply to individual days, or average over the trip?
A.
It is the average. I will look at the odometer at departure/pickup, and check it again upon return. If you put on 900 miles over 10 days, that is less than the 100 mile/day cap, so there would be no surcharge. If you put on 1,100 miles over 10 days, there will be a $75 surcharge ($0.75/mile)

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Simple answer, no campground hookups. Electric is provided by batteries that are charged by the Solar panels (always on) or by the engine alternator (optional). The "sewer" is a standalone composting toilet with separate liquid and solids compartments, and you can dump your own liquids every couple days (note $200 fee for solids disposal). For water there is a 30gallon tank which can be filled with a garden hose connection in the rear, but the water generally lasts a week depending on usage.
