What a great adventure! My partner and I rented ‘Val=N-Tina’s Adventure’ van for a driving family vacation and evaluated if we wanted to purchase one ourselves. We looked at a lot of listings, but Val-N-Tina’s was just what we were looking for – and I’d certainly consider purchasing a van just like this one. What I really liked about the camper portion of the van is the layout – the kitchen is well-appointed, like the location of the refrigerator (which holds more than I expected). It also has a small freezer. The gas cooktop is simple to use and the sink, of course, is a great bonus. Having a bathroom onboard was also nice. It also has an outdoor shower feature, with a privacy screen. The flooring makes it easy to sweep out the living space (a broom was provided). The bed in the back was comfortable, and the pop-up was nice to have, especially if traveling with multiple people or if you just want some fresh air at night. The camper also has blackout shades and air conditioning in the living area. Storage was ample for our one-week trip – be smart about what you take and what you will buy along the way when you run out. Since this was our first outing in an adventure van, we overpacked – simplicity is the name of the game. In terms of driving (if you will be the driver this may interest you), the van drove great – handled well and I really appreciated the built-in safety features, including blind side detection, proximity beepers, driver assist/warning if you got to close to a car when driving, etc. These are very important features to have when you are driving a vehicle much larger than you are used to. I normally drive an SUV, but this is larger. The onboard entertainment system was top-notch. The large video screen allowed me to display my Google Maps I created before the trip. The system has Android Auto and the same for Apple devices. I was able to stream music from Spotify, SiriusXM, etc. The layout of the dash and the instrument panel really came in handy as you can swap out the display – as a driver this is a great feature. Cruise control worked well too. Fueling up was straightforward, as was system cleanup/maintenance. I’d highly recommend renting from Joe and his family. They pay attention to the detail – the van was well appointed, clean and I’d highly recommend it to my friends & family. I’ll rent it again if I don’t buy my own soon! Thanks, Joe – we had a fun & adventurous experience!
