Hi dear outdoor adventurers & earth roamers,Thank you so much for letting my Chariot to create unforgettable memories for you! I'm so excited for all the beautiful memories and adventures you’d create for life with Chariot!Chariot was created to chase a wild dream of mine back in 2019 and she has brought me to the wildest dreams I could ever imagine after living full time in it for one year. Chariot is a Ford Transit XTL 250 High Roof cargo van (good for tall human :). Then piece by piece, wire by wire, my carpenter friend and I designed and built the basic structure. She went across the country 3 times after the built and have become something bigger than I expected. Over the years, my partner, Derek, and I slowly refine and upgrade everything to which of what you see now. That being said, we're still refining and upgrading her. She may not be the most perfectly designed camper van (yet), and she sure has all the charms which require you to take good care of while on the road! But I promise, she's not high maintenance and would certainly make your journey a lot easier if you pay attention to her details :-)Chariot has taken us to 15+ national parks across the country along with our little black cat, miss mishi (please do let us know if you're allergic to cats, we will do an extra thorough cleaning to make sure you have a comfortable stay)! Chariot has all the things you'd need to call it home. So all you need is your free spirited mind and suitcase! I can't wait to see what she will take you on for a magical journey of your own! What's included• One burner induction cooktop
• 2 small foldable camping chairs
• Polaroid instant camera with film
• Yoga mat
• Biodegradable soup for handwashing and showering - Dr. Bronner's
• Portable bluetooth speaker
• Stepping stool for easy in/out of the van
• Two extra 5 gallon water jugs for your off roading trip
RecommendationsCalifornia is beautiful everywhere you go. Let's chat so I can recommend what interests you the most (the towering Redwoods, Giant Sequoias, rugged coastline, sea urchin hunting, fishing, bird/animal watching, etc...)Other things to note1. Chariot is not ideal for someone who is over 6 ft tall to drive due to the partition wall preventing the driver seat to be pushed back fully.
2. A 40-60 minutes "walk-through" is needed when you're picking up. Please plan accordingly. "Walk-through" includes instructions of how to use the shower, how to change from bench/table mode to bed mode, and the rest of the general use of the van itself.
3. I support PLUR and am 420 friendly. But please be a responsible adult, do not DUI and just step outside of the van when you're smoking. DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE THE VAN, as it will result in a $250 penalty.

Charlotte is an amazing, kind, thoughtful host — and her van has every necessary, thoughtful convenience. It was truly a home away from home. Also - we drove about six hours round trip, and used less than half a tank, so if you’re worried about gas in a big van, don’t. Plus solar, chargers for everything, hot water, lights… I don’t know how I’ll ever camp differently again.
Charlotte’s answer
Awwwww! Thank you so much for your kind words Jennifer! I'm so glad you and Russ had a great time with Chariot! Please come back and visit often :-)

The chariot and charlotte were both amazing. We had great time and made lots of beautiful memories. The solar part was great. We did not have to plug in the entire time.
Charlotte’s answer
Thank you so much, Tina! And I’m glad you love the solar panel! Please definitely come back and visit. Chariot would love to be your host again! :-)

Charlotte's chariot was absolute perfection!! We rented it to drive up the coast for a wedding and the best time ever. It was stocked with everything we could have wanted, was very comfortable, and it's super cute. Charlotte was quick to respond and helpful with all our questions. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again.
Charlotte’s answer
Thank you very much Annie, for the kind words! We’re so happy to hear you had a great time with Chariot and she can’t wait to host you again! Come back anytime :-)

Our trip with Chariot was perfect. Charlotte helped us since the beginning with a lot of tips and made our travel as especial as it could be. Didn’t have any kind of problems and considered the part of the trip with motorhome even more comfortable than the luxury hotel part. Would recommend with my eyes coser. Already miss my #vanlife
Charlotte’s answer
Thank you so much Deborah! I’m so glad you both had a great time on your trip and Chariot was being a great host for you!

This was our first time renting a camper van and we feel so lucky to have found Charlotte and her Chariot! Charlotte is the most kind, helpful & communicative host who is excited to share her Chariot with you for your adventure! She gave us clear, detailed instructions for operating Chariot and its amenities. Charlotte also put together a comprehensive list of recommendations for places to visit, eat, and stay.
Charlotte’s answer
Ahhhhhh my dear Christina!!! Thank you so much for sharing your positive energy and review with me! I love seeing all the photos from your adventure and am so happy to know that Chariot was being such a great host! Can't wait for you and Wayne to explore California again!!! Please come back soon! :-)

Q.What if I drive through a toll?
A.
Your toll(s) will be collected after the trip and the payment will be deducted from the $500 deposit within 7 days.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Please make it a habit to always check and ensure all drawers are locked and all lose items are put away before hitting the road! It will help prevent damages and would ultimately make your trip much more enjoyable!
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We're usually very flexible since I work from home. So we'll try to be as accommodated as possible unless we're happened to be away.
