Meet your host, Tosif

Member since 2019

I enjoy building/engineering things and camping.
Van story:
It all started when I wanted to rent a small camper for my camping trip, but to my surprise, I could not find any, or at least at a reasonable price. I did not want RV even class B would have been big for me. I wanted something small, easy to drive and park, and also stealthy so I could just park anywhere and spend a night and go on my trip. I was having a hard time finding the van that would meet my criteria, and that was when I decided I would build my own. This was also a good excuse for my building appetite. And Boom! This CamperVan was born. This is my first van built, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I also built this van with the intention to live in it full time, but I don't; maybe someday:)

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I am available most of the day, but I prefer to do pick-ups in the morning between 7 am-1 pm. Drop off can be done anytime, but there is a late-drop off fee if returned after 4 pm.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
It has a pretty simple set-up; a small sink with a hand pump, 5 gals fresh, and 5 gal greywater. It is super easy to refill /dump. I show renters how everything works when they pick up

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
It is based on a GMC safari minivan, and driving this van is no different than driving a regular minivan. However, the built added some weight, so be mindful of stopping distance that might be greater.

Q.Is there a cleaning fee?
A.
Unlike many listings on outdoorsy, I do not charge a mandatory cleaning fee. If you return the van as clean as it was, you pay nothing. If you return dirty, there will be a cleaning fee.
