- Islay Creek Campground at Montana de Oro - campground is tucked away between mountain peaks and offers direct access to a beach and mountain trails, campsites are well-spaced, and it’s quiet :)
- Santa Margarita Lake - always has sites (because its a county park that few people visit)!
- Cerro Alto - perfect launch for the highest peak in SLO County, but watch out for the poison oak!Other things to note- The van is only 2WD, so NOT equipped for rugged 4WD adventures. Please don’t test the limits on this.
- Van does not have a nighttime heater or AC unit, just the daytime units that run when the engine is on. However, the van is well-insulated and there is a comfy electric blanket for cold nights.
- No smoking inside the van - please and thank you :)

The high-roof Ford Transit is easy to drive and park, not feeling like a large vehicle. It's thoroughly equipped for camping with comfortable sleeping, a sink, fridge, portable toilet, Jackery power, solar, and blackout window coverings.

5.0Perfect van for camping with our kids. Van was easy to drive, equipped with everything we needed, and really comfortable to sleep in. Our kid slept great on the platform over the front seats. Hosts were super communicative and helpful. Will definitely look to book again!

5.0We (3) had a great time with this van. Took it up to Big Sur, it handled the slow curvy road very well. Convenient design of the interior made camping easy. Lots of equipment was close at hand, provided, which made planning & packing so much easier. We would definitely use Kevin (great host) and his van again!
