Jackie is a badass high-top GMC Savannah camper van that will take you just about wherever you want to go. She's a lifted 2WD tricked out to be as close to 4WD as possible. She was designed to go to the snow so she's got great insulation, wood paneling, and a propane heater to keep you toasty. She's also decked out with a 32-gallon water tank, an oven & stove, and a gigantic Dometic "Fridge" that can keep you off the grid for days. Combined with the solar panels, batteries, and inverter your working and playing on and off the road will be well-powered in just about any situation.
That said, Jackie is not a glam van. She is rugged and tough, but she is also not perfectly finished on the inside. There are still parts of the van visible and some of the insulation is exposed. The bed pulls out over the "fridge" and stove so theoretically needs to be put away every day. While Jackie is not easy and refined, she has great bones and has a giant jack mounted to the front of her hood to get you out of sticky situation. (She also has an air compressor so you can deflate the tires when going off road and inflate when you get back to civilization.)
Her Fiberine high-top allows for just over 6' clearance on the inside. My friend who is 6'4" had to slouch a bit but the van comfortably has taken us around the country regardless. She comes with a swivel seat, an awning, and outdoor rug that can be set up when you want to hang for a bit in one place, with lots of other extras to meet all your vanlife needs.
We just got back from an 80-day road trip around the country, so are going to stay put for a bit. Happy to share Jackie with other adventurous souls this summer!
