2015 Dodge Ram Promaster 3500 Extended. Bebe is her name. She was professionally converted in 2021, making it one of the most stylish vans you've seen! Clean and crisp, yet cozy and smartly designed. Bebe is fully equipped with a full-sized bed, U-shaped lounge that converts into a twin (plus) bed, kitchen sink with 5 gallon water storage tank, camp stove, 2 ventilation ceiling fans, diesel heater for fall and winter camping, solar panels, shore power, cassette toilet, outdoor heated shower (off back door) with 30 gallon tank (seasonal), with storage under seats, garage for further storage and more. The cassette toilet is there for you to use but in entirely your responsiblity to clean before returning the van. If you do not clean the toilet upon return, you will be charged a $200 extra cleaning fee.As of summer 2024, we are including a generator and propane with the rental. The van's battery that operates the lights, refrigerator, fans and outlets, seem to be not working as well as they once were. We usually rent the generator out for an extra charge daily, but because of this recent nuisance, we are including it for free. If you have options for a camping sight with an outlet for shore power, that might be preferred so you don't have to worry about running out of power. No pets, no smoking, please treat her kindly. She is our other home!*Please be advised that in colder months, the pipes and containers of water under sink get frozen, as we live in Maine. Purchasing water might be necessary for your trip and the kitchen faucet may not work. In addition, the water tank for the shower, will not be filled during winter months.Check Bebe out on Instagram "BebeTheVan"
What's includedBebe's rental comes with a set of sheets, comforter, 2 pillows/pillowcases, sleeping bag if needed, 2 towels, dish towels, camping table, cookware, utensils, soap, pots, pans, plates, cups, and bowls. As an extra convenience, we try to provide a canister of propane for the camp stove, but there might be times where we have run out and you might have to grab it yourself.• Extra options are bike rack, 2 camping chairs, fat bikes. RecommendationsMaine is a natural wonderland from the coastal beach towns to the mountains and lakes regions. We'd be happy to give you recommendations if you wish. Other things to note*No smoking
*No pets
*Please do not empty dirty dish bucket or food scraps in sink. Please discard outside of van. The van gets stinky very fast if these items go down the drain.
*Pick Up 4pm, Drop Off, 10am if not otherwise agreed upon.
*BEFORE RETURNING VAN:
-Please Refill gas tank to where it was when it left with REGULAR gas tank. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A $200 FEE.
-Sweeping of the van, strip the sheets
-Wipe down the counters
-Clean and empty the toilet if used ($200 FEE if not completed)
-Dispose of garbage and waste water

I used to live and travel in a Volkswagen bus in the late 80's around Europe. I've had dreams of indulging in van life ever since. I convinced my wife to buy one and here we are! Living the dream!

We had so much fun in Acadia NP for 4 days with Bebe! She was a champ - she climbed Cadillac mountain without issue and navigated the gravel roads of our campground with ease. We drove at night and in the rain with no problems.

It was a great trip and for the most part, the van was comfortable and serviceable. There were some issues with the sliding door as well as a failure of the clips holding the porta pottie in place. It was also clear that the age of the van diminished its ability to power up hills on the many hilly roads in Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island.

Timothy and Danielle’s answer

Hi Pamela- Thanks for your review. WIth all due respect, the sliding door fell off the track because you either forcefully opened the door. It has happened two other times in the 3 years we had it, and it was to us, never to any of our 50 plus renters. It only happened when we were on a hill and allowed it to open with force and rapidly. You opted out of the protection plan, otherwise, you would have had roadside assistance to cover the issue. You also were responsible for the "clip failure" of the potty drawer, given that you "stopped abruptly" to miss hitting a car, as you reported. AS far as the "power up hills", you need to remember, it is a cargo van, that has been outfitted and weighs several tons. We too, visited Cape Breton and the terrain is EXTREMELY hilly. Most folks do not rent the van and go to such hilly terrain. Thanks for your rental, but in all fairness, the issues were not our van issues, they were from your actions.
