Sleeps 4
15 ft. long
1985 Volkswagen Vanagon
This is a fully restored, lifted and re-powered standard transmission 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender. Dutch is a compact, nimble, aesthetic camper that parks and drives more like a car than an RV, but can buckle-in 6 passengers, sleep 4 adults comfortably, and sports an awning with full outdoor cooking array (propane stove, Coleman Pack-Away kitchen, portable water supply, utensils, pots and pans) at no additional charge. While it lacks the interior stove, sink, and fridge that come in the full campers, you get that area back with a much more spacious interior (without 35 years of accumulated bacon grease) and have all the same amenitites ready to go under the awning after a 10 minute set up. There's no better way to experience the PacNW than with Dutch!

For the better part of a decade I’ve been a documentary photographer based in Seattle. In the early days as a freelancer I needed a vehicle that I could live in for indeterminate lengths of time, work out of comfortably, and go just about anywhere. The van was always been a trusty companion, affording me high levels of comfort and security while I worked.

The experience with Dutch out in the wild simply made the trip. The van has everything you need from a multi-tool and head lamp to a full kitchen with 10 gallons of water storage. Very capable for a 2wd vehicle and extremely mechanically sound for an older van.

The whole experience was fantastic. The service, The van, and of coarse Olympic National Park. Nate was super easy to work with and more than accomidating to us. We received a full run through of the Westfalia and a quick preview drive around the block and we were set to go. The van comes fully decked out and ready for a week full of adventure. We received Dutch, a mechanically sound Westfalia that was the perfect choice for camping in the PNW. If your on the fence, I would definetly say that Black Forest Westfalia is a great choice that you will be happy with.
