Aggressive post-rental billing

Host attempted to collect self-calculated charges, using pressure tactics and direct calls, instead of documented repair costs through Outdoorsy.

Easy and pleasant to drive

Reviewers noted its good driving properties and ease of handling. The RV is generally described as new, well-maintained, spacious, clean, and comfortable with practical amenities like an outdoor kitchen.

Our experience was disappointing, especially given the host’s repeated claim that the RV was in “perfect condition.” The RV was usable, but clearly a well-used ageing rental. At pickup we had to mop the floor and clean black grime from corners. The screen-door shield was cracked and the hosts could not explain how to work the outdoor kitchen. The door rod broke on the first day and the tank handle later. The refrigerator took 8 hours to properly cool after connecting to campsite, something we were not warned about. We had to discard much of our food causing significant stress/expense. I did have an accident that damaged the awning and immediately took responsibility through Outdoorsy. The post-rental experience was particularly troubling. The host repeatedly tried to have me pay hundreds of dollars in self-calculated charges, including estimated labor and travel costs rather than documented repair costs submitted to Outdoorsy. She also used pressure tactics in an attempt to get me to pay and continued contacting me, including calling me directly. I accept responsibility for the accident, but “perfect condition” was not consistent with our experience. I would not rent again.

It was easy to contact and rent the trailer from Susan and Matthew. We were first time renters and they explained important things to us and were available on text messages during the trip. The RV is in good quality and everything works well. It can easily sleep 6 people - we were five of us. We had a really positive and memorable experience! Thank you.

The RV was a great choice for our small group bike trip to the Okanagan. The RV and equipment was comfortable and in great condition and worked well and the host Susan communicated very well. We had a fabulous time.

Susan and Matthew were very responsive and accommodated our last minute reservation when our original booking was cancelled by the other owner, leaving us stranded. The RV is in great condition, both inside and outside. All interior photos are as per the listing; everything is in great working order and accommodated our family of 6 easily. The unit is very spacious once the slider is out. The unit came totally empty, so we had to bring everything ourselves. This worked for us being local, but will not work for someone out of town. The pick up location is not as listed on the ad, but is very close. The only issue with the unit is that the water tank emptied along the way so when we got to the next destination we had very little water left and no water hookup. This seems to be a design issue with Jayco (googled it) so fill the tank at destination or close to it, if possible. Also the amenities in the listing are not listed correctly. Somehow it says no sink and no hookup connections, which is obviously not true.
