As described…clean and everything worked.

First, I would like to point out what was good.
We had no problems getting the trailer to its location. All the electrical worked well. The sewer worked well. The stove worked well. The water heater worked well. The heating and cooling system worked well.
There were some things that made our stay less enjoyable than it should have been. I do not like to give less than 5 stars, but...
Caveat: I did think this was the same trailer that I had rented the year before and while it was the same type of trailer, it was a different owner. But my expectations were to have the same amenities as the other trailer.
First - the beds were not made, they only had a mattress cover or fitted sheet and we could not find any sheets. The bunk beds were not mattresses, but egg crate foam. We had brought two extra pillows for added comfort - but turns out thats all we had and I randomly had a picnic blanket in my car as well. So we turned the heater up and did not sleep very well. The next day I bought some blankets from the store and after we found a comforter and blanket and two pillows under the main bed.
2-we could not figure out how to make the oven work so had to get creative with the food we brought. There was no instruction book for the trailer to be found - so a lot of trial and error to figure out how the systems workedd.
3-the water hose connection to the city water leaked horribly. At first it was just not screwed on very tightly or turned on very much - so there was no pressure. And the hot water heater had not been left turned on - (the switch did not say on or off - so that took time to figure out). In the end the owner suggested that when we need water turn the city connection up to get pressure and when we did not need it - go turn it off. That was extremely inconvenient - not to mention made a huges muddy mess and wasted water. This needs to get fixed before renting it out again.
4 - the plates, cookware, and silverware were not clean. I had to clean many things again that had visible food on them before using them.
5 - check out process was made very stressful by owner.

Sage’s answer

Dear Vanessa,
First off I would like to respond to the statement that we made the checkout experience stressful. Sadly this statement is untrue. We arrived to the campsite at the agreed upon time of departure and check out time of 12pm, it was only because you never communicated that you wanted a late check out did this become a problem. I happily left and came back at a later time, I even offered for you to keep the trailer into the evening but to just please communicate when I can come back for the trailer as to not waste my time and gas traveling out to the campsite again. It was only due to the lack of communication on your part that this was sadly the cause of your stressful experience.
As mentioned you stated you thought rented our trailer before. When you booked with us, I figured you had already been aware that we do not provide linens. This is stated in our listing description as well as on our suggested packing list.
As far as the city water hook up leaking from outside the trailer, I sent suggestions of ways to fix it, if you are unable to fix it, in the meantime to turn down the pressure at night while it was not in use. Then I stated if you are still having problems that I can come out and help fix it. Since I never heard from you the next day I had assumed the issue resolved.
Lastly, I’m sorry your stay was not a five star experience as the rest of our renters. We understand we cannot win them all, however we did try on our part to provide the best service we could.

Picking up the trailer was a breeze! It was easily towed by our truck all the way out to Ocotillo Wells. The camper comfortably slept 4 adults and two kiddos.
