2023 Winnebago Revel
Thing2 is a beautiful example of a 2023 Winnebago Revel 44E which is quite possibly the best four season camper on the market. The chassis is a Mercedes Benz with four wheel drive and a turbo charged V6. Thing2 has a built in Infotainment system and saved in the GPS are locations for ski resorts in VT where you can overnight during the winter time.Driving Thing2 is not unlike driving a pickup truck or suburban, just a few feet taller. Don't be scared of parallel parking, Thing2 has cameras and audible sensors to assist with parking. It also has lane assist, automatic cruise control. The automatic cruise control will maintain the speed of the car in-front of you at a predetermined distance. The satellite radio will entertain you on the trip. You could even connect your phones. We have spent many winter nights in Thing2. We did this to put some secret overnight spots at or near ski resorts. No body else is offering places where you can overnight during the winter. Overnighting durning the winter season is not easy. In addition to the spots stored in the GPS, there are a few other places that will allow Thing2 to overnight. The catch to these is it's a different app and it has a cost per year.Imagine being at the trailside parking lot with Thing2. You have a private bathroom, heat, beverages, and an induction stove you can make a one pot meal. It's one of the coolest things. For the folks who like a road-trip during winter - we got you. Long duration rentals are at a reduced rate. If you have questions or want to make a long term rental deal, call. This van kicks butt. Anywhere you go you have everything you need. We got you covered with special modifications for winter time and driving Thing2 is not difficult. We've hosted customers that are renting before they buy, interested in the hype, and people who want to spend time with family. We are here to support your time in Thing2. The delivery is more smooth if you download the Outdoorsy app and you can expect a full walk-through of Thing2 before you go. In addition, we are available for questions while you are renting. If you are thinking about renting, this is the van. Winnebago has spent many hours perfecting the layout of this RV. I'll go through the van so you feel comfortable driving and operating Thing2.We are always looking to improve the customer experience. This currently includes a deal for renting ski's or snowboard. We have partnered with a local ski shop for the rentals. If you choose to rent through the add-ons option you will first pick up Thing2 and then head over to the ski shop for fine tuning of the rental. Coming this spring we will be offering the rental of an EBike, stay tuned. One last thing we are going to offer is Star Link Unlimited Data. You can be anywhere and have internet service. Heck, if you want to stream movies - just connect to the Star Link (coming soon). There are many options. And we appreciate your time. If you have any questions, please contact us. Thing2 is really cool, and is ready for you! What's includedLinens are changed after every renter. The rental includes mattress topper and down comforter. Kitchen utensils are light weight and hi-tech. If you wanted to go for a hike in the woods use the gear that's in the van. Cooking is completed by using the single induction stove and frying pan. RecommendationsPlan your adventure using Thing2. This time of year is all about snow sports. Skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing (no driving on lakes or off-roading), snowmobiling, snow shoeing and beyond. Book your travel now and know you will be self sufficient for a few days and able to focus in one area or chase something larger. We have a 5 acre plot of land in Johnson, VT that renters are welcome to stay at for no additional charge. The location is in the GPS. Finding locations in the winter is a little sporty. We have been doing this for a few years and have found some good spots to overnight. While skiing, you can get back to Thing2 for a hot meal and a private bathroom. Enjoy some apres action trail side and wait for the traffic to subside. We use the included electric cooktop and pot to make warm lunch and enjoy the private bathroom. Getting geared up in Thing2 is quite reasonable.
The bathroom is a great spot to hang you outerwear, the garage under the bed is great for keeping your bots nice and warm. When winter testing Thing2's capabilities, we have overnighted in about -5 degree weather and we were plenty warm. Be sure to have about 1/2 tank of fuel and drive for about 30 minutes to get a decent charge into the house battery and you should be fine. If you've read this far, thank you and think you would love your experience in Thing2.Other things to noteCheck-in 3pm
Check-out 6pmNo off-roading.Smoking Fee: $250Replacement of broken or missing items is cost plus markup.Toilet Dump Fee: $75
Grey Water Dump Fee: $50EzPass usage is a passthrough to customer.

I enjoyed my time in Thing2 so much that I had to rent it again, and bring the wife along this time.
Just as before, the experience was top-notch. Michael had Thing2 cleaned up and ready to go for us. Pick-up/drop-off were a breeze.
We utilized Harvest Host to stay at Taylor Brooke Brewery/Winery in Woodstock, CT the first night and visited family in RI the second night. We had an absolute blast of a quintessential New England fall weekend. Gorgeous weather, delicious drinks, beautiful foliage, and some awesome hiking/exploring.
Thanks again, Michael for going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our weekend adventure!
Looking forward to the next one!

Thing2 exceeded my expectations.
Michael is a great host; he took the time to go through all the Revel’s systems and quirks/features and those of the Mercedes chassis. The van was spotless on pick up; fresh water full, gray water empty, cassette toilet empty and clean, and batteries/fuel full.
I took the van up to the NEK in VT to mountain bike at Kingdom Trails for the weekend and the 4ish hour drive was stress-free thanks to the immaculate condition of the van (up-to-date on service, plenty of tread on the tires, etc). The adaptive cruise worked flawlessly, even bringing the van to a full stop when needed. Combined with the lane centering and blind-spot monitoring, this rig almost drove itself. At camp, the 360 camera made parking this rig easier than a car. After parking the Revel quickly morphs into a true base camp, where it was the center of the party. Can’t wait to book Thing2 again for winter ski trips and check out all of the cool ski parking spots Michael has saved in the GPS.

5 Star Epic Experience!
Mike made the whole process of renting the camper easy and
informative, from the first conversation until we brought the
camper back.
This was our first time with this type of vehicle and we planned to
explore the coast of Maine. When we arrived to pick up the
camper he patiently and diligently reviewed all the features and
details we needed to know for a successful excursion.
The camper itself was everything he told us it would be. The
Mercedes platform was easy to drive while the engine and
transmission were smooth and quiet. The camper was very clean
when we arrived.
The Revel had many features to make camping less challenging,
for example: the storage “garage” under a comfortable bed, well
thought out lighting, and a good size refrigerator with easy access
from inside and outside of the vehicle. The size and length of the
camper is great for parallel parking when in town on a city street
while using all the camera angles (and a great spotter). We never
had to search for oversized parking anywhere we went. We also
discovered we that with this ~19 foot length van we could access National Park roads and destinations
that are restricted to other vehicles that are over 21ft.
Overall, a great experience. Many thanks to Mike for his kind
assistance and help!

Michael was awesome to worth with. The van was super clean and well equipped, and he offered other supplies for us to use if needed. Super happy with the trip and would highly recommend!

Thing2 was exactly what we needed for a week touring around Vermont with our family of three. Everything was clean and well-organized. Michael was easy to communicate with about the trip and very accommodating.
