RecommendationsColden Lakes Resort is a wonderful, family friendly campground. It has a beautiful heated pool and plenty to do. Relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous scenery, and incredible wildlife. The owners are more than helpful, accommodating to you and your family. They even provide fun activities and events throughout the season! RV sites average between $65-$75/night.

Another great option is Niagara Hartland RV Resort, family owned and operated since 1985. Situated in the peaceful tranquility of Gasport, New York. Hartland is located midway between Rochester and Buffalo/Niagara Falls. They offer the ideal location to camp as well as travel to many nearby tourist/shopping areas. In addition to the local attractions they have many activities to keep you and your family occupied. On site they have a swimming area, fishing, and paddle boating on their eight acre Lake Charles. They also have a playground for children as well as many walking and bike paths around the camp. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. RV sites are $45.00/night, $270/week.

Other things to noteIf you decide to tow yourself, you'll need a full-size SUV or truck with a towing package installed and electric trailer brake controller. Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We're very flexible! We'll do our best to accommodate to your schedule. If you have a specific need, just ask.

Q.How does the electric work on the RV?
A.
Our RV has a 30 amp connection, which is very common at RV campgrounds. It's as simple as plugging in and turning on the power. If you're camping without access to the grid, we also have an ultra-quiet inverter generator with battery start and will provide it to you with a full tank of gas.

Q.How does the water work on the RV?
A.
You have two options for water. The easiest is what's called "City Water" which basically just means you hook a hose up from a fresh water source (hence "city" water). The connections are immediately pressurized, so you can start pouring! Alternatively, you can fill the fresh water tank. It's better to do this when you arrive at your camp site so as not to tow too much extra weight, but can be done before traveling if need be. The RV has a pump that will then pressurize the plumbing system.

Q.How does the sewage work on the RV?
A.
There are two different tanks on on our RV; the grey, filled by the sink & shower drains, and the black, filled by the toilet. RV campgrounds have two types of sites: with a sewage connection, and without. Sewage connection allows constant drainage to a septic system. Neither the grey nor black tank ever fill up. If you're at a site without sewage hookup, the tanks may fill up. However, most campgrounds will have a "dump site" where you can empty the tanks before you hit the road again.
