This is the perfect rig for SUV's with 3500 to 5000 pound towing capacity. Made out of aircraft grade aluminium, it weighs only 2000 lbs dry and 2700 lbs fully loaded, with no sacrifices!Folds down to the size of a tiny teardrop when you're towing for better fuel economy. But when you're camping, you get a full sized, hard-sided 17 foot trailer that comfortably sleeps 4, with a kitchenette, toilet, and wet bath. And if you get that perfect campsite with a view, you'll enjoy it through side windows that run the full length of the trailer. But don't worry, blackout curtains ensure complete privacy when you need it!If weather gets lousy, you can set up the table to seat two in the front, or 5 in the back for epic card and board games!Opening and closing the trailer are both done at the touch of a button with a built in electric motor that is completely silent. Way easier than a pop up camper! We reupolstered the trailer in imitation leather, which means we can easily disinfect all surfaces between rentals (and we still use the trailer ourselves too!). We also added memory foam to the back bed for a much more comfortable sleeping experience. Absolutely no smoking and no pets in this rig (sorry, owner has allergies).Bike rack capacity is only 80lbs.What's includedIncludes: up to 4 camping chairs, rack for 2 bikes, dishes, pots and pans, microwave*, cutlery, small BBQ, 75' of electrical connector, fresh water hose, sewer hose, plus all towing related items such as a weight distribution trailer hitch**, wireless TPMS, levelling blocks, wheel chocks, and a wireless brake controller.Screened tent for picnic tables, and inflatable kayaks are available for extra charge. Please bring your own linens and/or sleeping bags!RecommendationsHead to Algonquin Provincial Park. Epic hiking, great beaches, and beautiful motor-boat-free lakes to kayak and canoe in. Rent our inflatable kayaks, or use the rental service in the park to get a full size canoe. Other beautiful parks near Toronto we recommend are Killbear Provincial Park (great beaches, biking trail, and unique hikes), and Sauble Beach Provincial Park (features an almost ocean-like beach). Or do a tour of wineries that allow camping in their vineyards through Harvest Hosts (membership required).Other things to note-Absolutely no smoking of any kind in the rig, and no pets!
-The grey tank in this rig is just big enough for three or four army showers. If you plan on showering in the rig during a longer stay in one spot, full hookups are a good idea; otherwise, consider using the park showers. Note, this is true of most RV's.

We had an amazing trip with Greg's Safari Condo Alto and would rent again in a heartbeat. The rental went smoothly and the trailer itself was a highlight of our camping trip around Ontario provincial parks. Highly recommended!

Completely wonderful experience. Greg was very helpful during the rental process as well as the pickup. Very thorough and covered all the bases with respect to the trailer. We had a great trip and will definitely look into renting this again. That’s if I don’t buy my own. lol. Thanks again Greg

Outdoorsy was my choice because I was looking for a specific model of trailer that was local to me to try out before buying; Outdoorsy hooked me up! Greg's trailer was clean and fully stocked as promised! He was thorough in explaining how to use all of the features of the trailer and he and his wife were friendly welcoming. I highly recommend renting from Greg.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

Pick up and drop off is offered if possible given owner's work schedule. If you're thinking about having it delivered to your campsite, just ask, and I'll do the best that I can. But I can't guarantee it for all rentals.

Q.

Is this a good rig for tall people?

A.

Absolutely! In our family we have one person who is 6' and another who is 6'2". We bought this rig because it has more headroom and bigger beds than a typical small RV. It's great for tall folks!

Q.

What is the capacity of the bike rack?

A.

The bike rack is rated for 80lbs. Note that some vehicles also have issues with clearing the bike rack. If you have an externally mounted spare tire (Jeeps/Xterras), you may have to forgo the bike rack OR remove the bikes and put the rack up before parking in a campsite.

We use RV's instead of hotels because it can get us closer to trailheads (we are avid day-hikers). We also love the added privacy and flexibility of using an RV. We save money by not having to eat in expensive restaurants. We are a non-smoking family of four with no pets. Dad is mechanically inclined and not phased by the odd issue with a rig. Generally, we try to find full hookups whenever possible, and only boondock a night here and a night there if it makes sense based on our activities and route. So far we've done three multi-week trips in rentals, once in New Zealand and twice in Canada. We now own our own towable RV, and have already toured from Toronto to BC and back.
