Welcome to me, Murphy the van.
I figured with my owners, Matt and Kate (very cute couple, BTW) so busy, I would take a shot at writing this myself, because who knows me better than me?
I AM Awesome! I was built after both Matt, a professional landscape photographer and firefighter/paramedic and Kate, a professional equestrian rider and dog groomer (told you they were busy) spent many, many nights in their self built van. They realized what was important to them and I was built with this in mind.
I am built on the longest, tallest Transit made and my AWD system, lift kit and all terrain tires makes me pretty sure footed.
Good looks are one thing but it's what's inside that counts and my innards are glorious. With a hot shower, sink, 2 fridge/freezer units, dry flush toilet, microwave, Webasto cabin heater, swivel seats, plenty of batteries and solar, 35 gallons of water, induction cooktop, Maxx air fan, loads of space in the custom cabinets, Murphy bed and a walkable roofdeck and custom insulated window covers, a 2000W Honda generator for a back-up if all else fails, a propane fire pit, as well as a blackout curtains (I think you get the idea), loads of time and money were spent to get me to this level.
As you can imagine I'm very comfortable in lots of settings. From camping in the parking lot of your favorite ski destination for fresh tracks in the morning, or the coast to spend sunset on the roof deck with a chair and beverage. To my personal favorite, boondocking in the out of the way places to allow for a full Ctrl+Alt+Del reset that most of us need far more often than we would like to admit
Choose your gear and the time of year to unplug, recharge and enjoy what I, Murphy, have to offer.Did I mention I was awesome...yeah I know I did. What's includedI provide bedding, pillows and towels. For the kitchen, pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups and coffee mugs, a French press and some staple spices. as well as kitchen utensils, can and bottle opener, corkscrew, spatula, you know kitchen drawer stuff and misc. things like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags.
I also have some ways to pass the time between adventures including a bluetooth projector and screen for movie night either inside or outside the van and poker and checkers set. RecommendationsGet out and see the incredible northwest, from the Cascade and Olympic mountains, the Columbia River gorge to the hundreds of miles of rugged coastline, not to forget the high desert. The amount of diversity in such a relatively small place is quite frankly hard to believe. This van will also come with the Oregon state park pass as well as the Washington discovery pass.Other things to noteWith all the time and money my owners spent on me they are still in the honeymoon phase of ownership, so pretty please with sugar on top, take good care of me.

This all started to support my photography habit. I had outgrown my motorcycle as my mode of exploration for my longer trips with a gear bag that could not be locked onto my bike.
My van became my literal home on the road and it allowed me to overnight in spots that I could not put a tent. My first van was simple and designed to support my needs but as my wife warmed to the idea of roadtrips a bigger van with some major creature comfort upgrades were needed.
Welcome to Murphy, this is the result.

We traveled along the Columbia through the gorge, the up through Sisters and the National Forest, and then over to 101 and up the coast. The van was as great as the listing suggests. Matt was great to work with as well. I had one small complaint - the mattress was a little thin for my liking. However, my wife didn’t mind it at all. Will would gladly rent this rig from Matt again.

Murphy is a perfect adventure van! Matt is incredibly kind, spending plenty of time with us at pickup and provided all the information we needed for a great trip. Murphy has everything you’ll need and so many nice luxuries, like a hot shower, toilet, roof deck, chairs, fire pit. We made all our meals in the van and we found the kitchen well equipped. The layout is perfect for two, being able to lift the bed out of the way was helpful. We’ll use ideas from Murphy when we build our own!! Thanks Matt!

Matt was so easy to communicate with from pick up, to guidance during our trip, to drop off! Absolutely worth it if you’re looking for a comfortable solution for any road trip with all the needed amenities.

Van was exactly what we needed for a week long exploration from Mt Hood to the coast. Owner thought of everything we needed - from cookware to bedding to bear spray; we even used the projector system on a couple rainy nights. Owner was very accommodating and responsive to our questions while on the road. Lovely trip!

We had a WONDERFUL experience exploring and camping in this beautiful van. It is so clean and equipped with everything you could need. Matt was an amazing host… so friendly, great communicator and available to help and answer any questions we had. He even gave us tips of places to see. Thank you so much, Matt for making this experience even better than we could have hoped for. I honestly can’t say enough about the overall experience! Do not hesitate to choose this van. You will not be disappointed.
