B

Responsive, Flexible, and Supportive Host

Alan provides excellent communication, is responsive to guest needs, and flexible with planning, including easy pickup/drop-off. While one booking was canceled, overall feedback highlights his helpful and accommodating nature.

Handles diverse terrains reliably

Gus proved reliable and comfortable on winding mountain passes, gravel highways, and FSRs. Guests appreciated the comfortable bed, full kitchen accessories, plug-in cooler, and solar-powered fridge/fan for off-grid adventures.

For starters, Alan was a great host! Great communication and was flexible as he worked with us to make our plans happen. I really appreciated that. Gus treated us super well as a home on wheels for a week. Very comfortable bed and we used all the kitchen accessories and stove. The handheld shower was super convenient too. The plug in cooler was awesome at keeping our food and drinks perfectly cold. It came with chairs, a mat and even a clothesline. Honestly we never really felt like we were missing anything on our trip! We took the van on a giant loop through the south of the province up winding mountain passes, through paved and gravel highways, and even up a FSR and Gus tanked through it all. The back up camera was not as useful as i'd hoped but I didn't have trouble driving it. If you have the opportunity to ride with Gus, do it! :)

We had the trip of a lifetime with Gus! We drove around BC and explored many provincial parks. Driving Gus was comfortable... similar to driving a truck. The solar powered fridge/freezer combo along with hotplate, and fan was perfect. It allowed us to stay cool when sleeping, well fed, keep our phones charged and gave us freedom to explore and stay in a variety of parks without needing power hookups. Alan and Wes were also very kind, helpful and easygoing. We would happily rent Gus for another adventure in the future.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

We will try our best to accommodate flexible collection and drop off times if the camper is available.

Q.

How do the electric and water hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

It's very simple. We provide a heavy duty 20 ft. 15AMP power cord that plugs from the camper directly to the power source at your selected campsite. We provide 2 water canisters, each hold 23 liters. The canisters must be removed from the camper, filled at the water source and carefully placed back in the camper.
