A native to "The 757" I highly recommend visiting the Eastern Shore of Virginia on at least one of your trips! It's beautiful and there's a lot of culture along with the nature, right in Cape Charles.
We just camped for one night at North Landing - and it was wonderful! We backed-into a site just in front of our own personal deck overlooking the canal. They had activities and great things to do. (worth it... even for just one night!)
Williamsburg is one of my favorite destinations. Busch Gardens is so much fun to visit and there is so much history too. I'd definately try to spend some time with kids in this historical area while they are young. Remember - go to the bakery, buy the cookies and get the recipie!!!
Virginia Beach itself is a great place to stay. If you plan to stay a day, a week or a month, there is always so much to do! The Great Dismal Swamp , the Virginia Aquarium and even fantastic art museums and the boardwalk are all close to state parks (Kiptopeke, First Landing and more) as well as KOA and Holiday Travel Parks.
Every month has something special in our area! Think about a very special Fall trip, Thanksgiving dinner around the campfire or Christmas under-the-stars. There's always something wonderful happening in "The 757" or nearby!
Please leave 45 mins to an hour for walkthrough when you pick up "Bettie" as well as when you drop-off. We'll also have a video or two available to help.
IF YOU ARE A NOVICE and staying locally, we'll help guide you through set up at camp. (no charge) - we REALLY want you to be happy and confident but understand if you'd like some help, your first time!
If you are intermediate or pro, even if you don't need help, we're just a phone call away with any questions you may have. We provide an electronic leveler and blocks for leveling and suggest parking on a somewhat level surface, with hookups if possible.
Smoking is NOT permitted whatsoever in the RV. (No cigarettes, weed or vaping)
We're doing our best to provide a clean and allergen-free experience for families.
Any smoking must be done outside the RV, away from open doors, windows or wind that would "carry" the smoke into the vehicle.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
We truly want you to have a wonderful experience and to ensure Bettie is ready for the next guest - please be advised, we expect you to:
Empty tanks before returning Bettie!
- If you cannot do so, you agree to a deduction from your deposit of $100
Do not flush anything other than RV Toilet paper in Bettie.
- If feminine products, wipes, diapers or other items clog the tanks, you can delay someone else's rental and will forfeit a portion of your deposit. (depending on the severity of the "clog")
Please remove all trash bags and trash before returning Bettie.
- There are dumpsters at campsites, and trash cans at gas stations - please.
Please return Bettie with a full tank of gas!
- If not, you agree to pay $50 service charge, in addition to the price of gas. (this will be deducted from deposit)
We have to pay someone to do these things, if you do not and it can cause an unnecessary delay for the next guest. (We do not have a dump station or gas station at our house)

I'm Lori Dunn and I had to retire from my career as a flight attedant after almost 25 years. My husband, Dave, is USN retired. Betwen us we have 8 grandchildren and wanted to have a great experience both travelling and camping with all of them. Even though we're both technically "retired" we remain busy both volunteering and working in creative ways in our local community.

Wow! I had a great surprise when I found out I already knew Patrick M! He took great care of Bettie! I would definitely recommend him as a renter, as well as in business. He’s a great person who gives back to his local community too!

Bettie is a great RV that comes as advertised. Everything works is clean and runs great. She makes everything easy to figure out. Would gladly rent again. Lori was a pleasure to deal with. Everything went great and would gladly do this again in the future.

We rented Bettie, she is a big girl. She has plenty of room for all your activities like playing games, prepping food and having a sleep over in the bunks with the cousins. There is plenty of room in the queen cabin for all of your gear. The refrigerator is large! The hosts of Bettie Lori and her husband even came out to our house the night before we left to help me figure out how to run the fridge while we were driving. Hooking up at the campsite was a breeze. I would highly recommend Bettie to anybody looking for a camper! She is worth it!

This was my family's second time renting an RV. We kind of knew what to expect when we rented the same kind of RV than last year, but boy what a difference! Bettie is AWSOME!!! One: she was super clean, and I mean shiny, super clean. Everything had been washed and disinfected and wrapped for extra cleanliness. Two: Bettie's got it all! Anything you can think of, she is equipped with. From kitchen utensils and appliances, to bedding, towels, 4 tvs with dvd players, extra of everything.
We had such an fantastic time visiting the Outerbanks with Bettie. My husband, kids, my mom and I loved her spaces and her comforts. We already miss her and would love to travel with her again.
Also, Lori, is the best owner. She is super helpful and goes above and beyond to help and please the customer. What an awesome experience! Thank you Lori and Bettie :-)
