Responsive with clear instructions

Alex took time to explain all van features for first-timers. He was consistently responsive with communications from reservation to pick-up/return, and offered convenient drop-off options like at PDX.

Easy to drive, fuel efficient

The van was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with essentials. It featured powerful lithium batteries (no charging needed), easy-to-use bathroom and kitchen with stove/microwave, ample storage, and a pop-up bed. It was comfortable and fuel-efficient.

We had a great time with Alex’s Winnebago. It was our first time with a camper van and Alex took the time to explain how to use all the features, so we left ready for the road! All the features of this van were great… the upgraded batteries had plenty of power for our whole trip, the bathroom was perfect and easy to empty, and the water fill features and heat all were super convenient and easy to use. We explored the Oregon coast and Northern California comfortably and camped in some AMAZING vistas. Very grateful for Alex’s responsive communications, and his hosting of this awesome camper van. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience renting this campervan! The van was very clean, well maintained, and drove really well. Alex, the host, was super responsive and great to work with. We chose the drop-off option at PDX instead of pickup, and everything was prompt and convenient. We slept on the pop-up bed above the van, which gave us more room inside for luggage and made everything easy to access. There was also plenty of storage above the lower bed and driver's area, which was more than enough for a camping-style trip. The kitchen had a stove, microwave, and utensils, and everything was easy to use. The van performed great throughout our trip, and driving it was easy. We didn't need to charge the van at all and only refilled the water a couple of times. We took it along the Oregon Coast, Silver Falls State Park, Mt. Hood, and several waterfalls along the way. The van was perfect for this type of trip and gave us the flexibility we wanted. Overall, we had a wonderful experience for our 1st campervan trip and would definitely rent from this host again!

Rules and policies
• Please treat the van like it's yours. A few specifics: No smoking or vaping inside — $500 cleaning fee. Return with roughly the same fuel level and with the gray and cassette tanks emptied ($60 if we dump for you). The pop-top must be fully closed and latched before driving. It also needs to be dry before it's closed for the day — I'll show you how at pickup. No off-roading. Maintained gravel and forest roads are fine; rough two-track and washboard are hard on the roof seals. Overall height with the rooftop A/C is about [X] — check clearances before parking garages and drive-thrus. Minimum driver age 25. Any additional driver must be approved before the trip. No festivals or long-term stationary living. A road-facing dash cam records the road ahead for insurance purposes. There is no interior recording. Propane runs the cooktop, furnace, and water heater — it'll be full at pickup. Cell service disappears in much of the Gorge and around Mt Adams. Download maps before you go. Text me any time during your trip. If something isn't working, tell me early — most things I can solve in five minutes. • Pets are welcome. Please crate them when they're alone in the van, keep them off the beds, and brush out the hair before returning. A $50 pet fee applies per trip.
