What a fantastic family camping adventure we had with Foxy! Steve included everything, so all we needed to pack were clothes and food. Highly recommend!

I will start by saying that I understand unpredictable things can happen on any vacation adventure. Both good and not so good. After picking up the RV my son and I noticed a smell which I thought was LP gas. It was very unpleasant and overwhelming at times. While loading RV with everyones belongings everyone noticed the smell. I tried to locate the source. Only to find out it wasn't LP gas, it was coming from the bathroom. Because I've traveled in RVs many times in my life, I knew that it would disipate after awhile. It took Milwaukee WI to Souix Falls SD to do so. At that time we put a toilet cake into the black water holding tank. My point is that most likely the black water holding tank was not emptied completely before we started our rental. On June 25th the low tire pressure sensor light came on the dash. I pulled over and checked the tires. They all seemed to be inflated and in working order. The host was made aware of this as well. There was not a owners manual in glove box to reset the low pressure sensor by going thru prompts on steering wheel. Nor a tire gauge anywhere to actually check the tire pressure on the tires. You need a special reverse head pressure gauge to check the inside dual wheels. I wasn't going to buy one of them. They can be costly. On the 26th after traveling for a few hrs., the tire pressure sensor light went off. It did not come back on until we passed into Wyoming. It was off and did not flash at all. Until right before we had a tire blowout. Near Rozet WY. (Very small community). The RV did actually start to shake and I noticed that the Black water septic snake that is housed in back bumper (because of the shaking) was working it's way out the left rear side of the bumper. I pulled over. The end cap to the bumper which holds in the septic accordion snake was gone. I don't know where it actually fell off because of the shaking. I duct taped the septic hose back in bumper. That's when the tire actually had a blowout. I pulled over and we called Outdoorsy and the host. We were informed that they will get someone to us ASAP but we would have to pay for the actual tire. The host was made aware of this. The host told us then that we should pay for it so we can get back traveling. But I feel this is not something we should have EVER HAD YO PAY FOR. Considering that the host knew the tire pressure sensor was on the day before and it then stopped flashing all together earlier the same day that we had the blowout. It took 4 hrs start to finish and we were back on the road. The repair man (Shane) after hearing how the blowout happened said it was most likely the actual tire pressure sensor that caused the blowout. Sending false signals to the RV computer. In other words it was not functioning in the manner it was supposed to. The tire was most likely flatter than it was reporting. The host also SAID in a text that he would reimburse us when we get back. Which makes complete sense because it's his equipment and his RV. (It's not my tire). The RV in my opinion also was in need of a front end alignment. It wandered to the left and then towards the end of the trip it wandered to the right. Both front tires had a wear pattern that is indicating of that very thing. The center of the tires were choppy on examination. (Run your hand over the tire and you can feel it with your hand) There was also a noticeable loud noise in the front cab area. I could not figure it out until heading back from out West. I've heard it before and it almost made me think it was the transmission. But there isn't anyway that this 1 ton vehicle with only 40000+ miles on it should be having any kind of transmission problems. This is what this huge machine was built for. It's heavy duty engine and transmission. Like I said I didn't put a guess on it until driving back. It does sound like the drive shaft u joint towards the front of drive train is loose or needs grease. There were times when you come over the break of a hill and it went clunk. The host was made aware of this as well when I got back. One more somewhat irritating thing was that the keyed locks on the storage compartments need to be oiled and including the side door to the vehicle. I wasn't the only one having difficulty using them. That's basic though. Now when we still out West the host did text me and said I needed to file a claim with Outdoorsy to be reimbursed for the tire. I found out from Outdoorsy that either one of us could file a claim. But WHY WOULD I FILE A INSURANCE CLAIM OF 1500.00 TO RECOVER A 256.67 FOR A REPLACEMENT TIRE THAT IS NOT MINE. The host and I went young and round for a roughly day on this matter. I finally had to text him the truth is that he texted me while waiting for the tire to be repaired and then he said on speaker phone in front of 9 people in the RV that he would reimburse my son who payed for HIS TIRE REPAIR. LIKE I SAUD WE SHOULD BEVER HAD YO PSY FUR IT YO BEGIN WITH. OVERALL THIS RV NEEDS TO HAVE SOME BASIC MAINTENANCE DONE ON IT. ITS A GREAT MACHINE AND WILL GET YOU THERE AND BACK, NO MATTER WHAT YA HAVE TO OVERCOME. We all despite any set backs all still would definitely do this again. We had a great time. OUTDOORSY, is there something that renters can be reassured that maintenance has been recently done on rentals. Before a renter actually signs for the vehicle and is driving away for their family adventure. Just a suggestion! Steve. You may look at this as an average review. But please understand that I would still do this again, next year. Thank you to Steve for getting back to me and also returning my texts ASAP. Also to Outdoorsy for making arrangements for the tire repair. We had no less than 3 Outdoorsy representatives cell us while we were waiting for the repair to be completed to make sure we were hanging in there and were safe. Much appreciated. The RV was great and had everything we needed. Steve was very friendly and willing to assist and answer questions. This rental made for a great weekend!

Trip was great and our host was fantastic. The RV was great and would recommend it to anyone!

Steve and Steph were absolutely amazing. They thought of absolutely everything. The rv was fantastic and clean and was everything we expected and so much more. I highly recommend this RV and would one again like to thanks Steve and Steph for the guidance and generosity.
