Outfitted in luxury as a rental, the Glamper includes designer bedding, towels, quick dry cabana style beach towels, and hotel style bath amenities. Extras include an Instant Pot, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, brand new dishes and cutlery, and Yeti tumblers and can insulators.

Ask about our discounted "bare bones" prices for long-term rentals of 2 weeks or longer, where we remove all but the essentials (no bedding, towels, dishes, small appliances, or outdoor cooking appliances; RV is "empty", cupboards are bare). Cleaning and sanitation supplies, sewer hose, clean water hose are included.

Calendar note: If your dates are not available, please contact us. Some blocked dates are flexible and others can be wait-listed.

Recommendations

If you are new to camping, mark your calendar! For 2022, national park reservations open in January. Some provincial parks in Canada can be booked already as well as US state and national parks. Riding Mountain National Park is a top Manitoba destination, so be sure to call when the booking window opens. If you miss the provincial or national park deadlines, we can suggest municipal and private campgrounds. Contact us for Manitoba, NorthWest Ontario and Minnesota road-trip itineraries and destination tips.

Booking a campsite for our RV? When looking at the campground map pay attention to the type of site; pull-through sites are a breeze if you are new to driving a Class C. Pick a full service site if you want to use all the amenities (full hookup: electric, water, sewer), however you can empty the tanks when you depart (pick electric/water) or you can go off the grid, using the batteries, propane, solar power and generator if needed.

Other things to note

RV pick up and drop off and orientation:
- Flexible pick up, 11am drop-off. $75 late fee unless alternate time pre-arranged. Contact us for special requests.
- Please allow a minimum of one hour for orientation to the vehicle and documentation. The orientation will be faster if you preview the rental handbook and videos. We will provide these links after booking.
- Instructions for all the appliances and outdoor cooking equipment will be provided and briefly reviewed at pick up.

Airport pick up and drop off is available for $75 round-trip.

-Pet policy: Small and medium-sized dogs preferred, no cats. Pets are not allowed on dinette seats.

-Driver policy: 25 years old minimum. Full licence in Manitoba or your province or state.

-Out of province renters: If your drivers licence was issued outside of the province of Manitoba, the maximum rental period is 90 days.

-Insurance: included in rental fee, $9.5 million liability, $300 deductible.

-Roadside assistance: Strongly recommended, either through Outdoorsy or another provider. For Outdoorsy, you must contact them directly for them to add this manually to your reservation because the insurance packages they provide are not available for Manitoba rentals. This is an excellent service offered by Coach-net, costs $15USD/day and includes 24/7 technical support for the RV: https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/whats-included-in-roadside-assistance-coverage. CAA membership (must include the Premium RV option) for one year is an alternative, and covers the member for any vehicles they drive.

-Gravel roads policy: No gravel roads except short roads to access campgrounds and gravel roads within the campground.

-US/Mexico: You may drive the RV in Canada and the US but not Mexico.

-Speed: Fuel consumption increases significantly with RV speed, so save your money by driving conservatively!

Our dream of full-time road-tripping led to the Glamping Adventurer, recently purchased to use until we retire and outfitted as a rental RV to share with others while we are still working. We have enjoyed numerous camping trips in Canada and the US in our A-liner, hybrid and bunkhouse trailers, visiting national and provincial parks, and finding the best diners, bakeries, unique shops and roadside attractions along the way. We would like to inspire you with our love of travelling and the fantastic finds we have discovered along the way!

The owners were wonderful - very helpful and quick to respond. The RV was exceptionally well equipped.
This was a trial for us as we consider whether or not to purchase an RV. We found it a bit heavy and bumpy to drive and difficult without a back up camera.
I found the height of everything a problem - I am too short to see the buttons on the oven and I certainly couldn't lift hot stuff in and out or reach stuff in the upper kitchen cupboards but those are personal problems and design problems. Nothing to do with the owners and the very well appointed and maintained RV.
This trip has shown us that we are probably not RV people and if we do still consider purchasing a vehicle, we have a lot more things to check out than on our original list!
I would recommend these owners to anyone renting from Outdoorsy.

The RV was exactly what we needed - clean, easy to drive, equipped with everything we could possibly need and well maintained. They even included a pizza oven as well as a blanket, mat, lead and pup tent for our dog. Way above and beyond our expectations. Thanks Lynne and Jeff!!!

Owners were very helpful from start to finish. Quick to reply with any questions and very accommodating with pick up and drop off. Highly recommended.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.Do you have other camping equipment we can add to our booking?
A.
Just ask! We have a lot more camping equipment that can be added, including two 4 person tents, camping shelters, and more chairs.

Q.Are my dates available?
A.
The availability calendar is kept up to date. If there is a booking request pending but not confirmed, the dates may appear to be available until the booking is completed. Request the dates of your choice and we will let you know if they are still available.

Q.How much will I pay for gas?
A.
Class C RVs of this size, including ours, are in the range of 8-10 mpg. The mpg you will experience depends a lot on driving speed, winds, and terrain (hills/mountains consume more gas). The gas tank is 35 gallons, so a fill is about $180 (assume $1.30/litre gas price). We prefer to top up the tank every 2-3 hours with rest stops. We plan ahead looking for cheaper gas in larger centres. There are online fuel consumption calculators to estimate fuel consumption for your trip.

Q.How can I plan my trip to reduce the cost of gas?
A.
If you want to reduce fuel costs for your trip, choose destinations where you can park the RV and walk/bike/use public transportation. Parks near Winnipeg that work well for this plan include Riding Mountain National Park, Winnipeg Beach, Birds Hill Park and in Minnesota, Itasca State Park (amazing!) and the Red River Recreation Area campground in East Grand Forks. Even on a longer road trip you can plan the itinerary to reduce mileage. Ask us for suggestions for the trip you are thinking about!
