Meet Sully, our converted Sprinter van. Sully's conversion was based on hours of research and we couldn't be anymore excited to share our van with YOU! Sully comes equipped with excellent features, one of which is our favourite...a fixed, full sized queen bed! Sully has loads of awesome features, to help make your "VanLife" experience, as comfortable as possible. We look forward to sharing stories with you, and can't wait to see where the road takes you.Sully is a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 170ext. Sully is 2WD but comes with KO2 tires on Fuel rims for a slick look with rugged capabilities. Our van is a Diesel engine with 12km/L highway mileage, meaning you can go further between fuel ups.For people like us, here are some of the features you need to go off-grid for several days at a time, these include:Electrical system-300ah Lithium batteries, 350W Solar, Shoreline power hookup, 3000W Inverter and extensive 12V power system.
Water-120L fresh water tank, gravity filled but unfiltered. (Drinking water is required by the renter), fully functioning sink, hot water available.
Fridge-65L Fridge with small freezer.
Cooking- Sully has an induction cooktop (with a propane cooktop option)
Toilet-Nature Head composting toilet (the best available in our opinion)
Heat/Cool- Esbar D2 diesel heater, keeps you warm on those spring and fall nights, 2 roof MaxxAir fans to help cool the van and circulate the air.
Storage-Large, above average storage under bed. The bed is lifted, to allow larger/bulk items to be stored safely.
Sully has many more feature, but too many to list...Please feel free to contact us anytime, we are more than willing to answer any questions and offer advice for your trip.We hope to see and hear from you soon. Enjoy the road that lies ahead.Ben, Lindsay and Sadie.

Niagara Falls - 151km (1.5 Hours)
Tobermory - 280km (3.5 Hours)
Collingwood/Blue Mountain - 190km (2.5 Hours)
Canada's Wonderland - 140km (1.5 Hours)
Prince Edward County - 345 km (4 Hours)
Algonquin Provincial Park - 400km (4 Hours)
The use of iOverlander (website/phone app) is a fun way to take yourself a little off the beaten path and into some cool isolated locations. Although Southern Ontario isn't necessarily rich with locations to stay on this app, once you head North or South (state side) you will find more locations that appear fun to try. As always, I recommend finding a campground designed for RV's as it will make your trip as comfortable as possible.
Other things to notePlease review rules of the road, all rules must be followed or you may occur additional costs. In the van we have included a laminated copy of ways to trouble shoot any issues that may arise and the list will be updated for future renters if something else should occur. Along with that will come a list of drop off duties, allowing a smooth transition when returning the vehicle. Please keep all conversations through Outdoorsy as it will protect both parties from any discrepancies. Enjoy your journey.

Meet your host, Benjamin

Member since 2021

Hello, my name is Benjamin, my wife is Lindsay our son is Cooper, and we have a 6 year old Fox Red Golden Retriever, Sadie. Since I was a young boy, I can remember some of my best memories spent camping. Let's just say I have been hooked ever since! I have had the privilege to experience camping in all forms, from back country all the way to "glamping". I love to backpack and portage but there has always been something special about the idea of "VanLife". Although it may not be a full-time reality for us at this point in our life, we have really grown to love the freedoms and challenges that come with the lifestyle. This fascination and curiosity, (with a hint of COVID-19 lockdown...) Inspired us to build our van. In April of 2021, we welcomed SULLY to the family and instantly knew it was a perfect fit. Sully (Sullivan) was the direct result of hours of watching our favourite Youtubers; (Eamon and Bec, Kingingit, Kara and Nate just to name a few) pursue their passions and live a modest lifestyle with the freedom of travel. After completing the build of our van in 2021, it became apparent to us, between working full-time jobs and trying to start a family, that we would need to be home more then we like. It was at this point we decided it would only be selfish of us to keep SULLY locked up and not share him with you! Although we are new to renting our van, we are eager to hear stories and the memories you have created. Please enjoy and we look forward to hosting you in the future.

We had a really good trip with Sully. Benjamin was a great host, showing us everything we need to know. Our camping trip was comfortable and we had great sleeps with a temperature controlled fan and a queen bed. The kitchen area with the sink and fridge made food prep very easy. Would definitely use Sully again!

Benjamin and Lindsay are a prompt, dependable, reasonable, and knowledgeable couple to do business with. "Sully" is spacious and very well-maintained. I spent a week visiting family who have two cats, and I am very allergic to cats, so it was wonderful to have a safe private space of my own. I never needed any other power than what the solar panels provide for lighting, charging my electronics and making morning coffee.

Benjamin and Lindsey were very responsive prior to our trip and while we were away. They took us through a thorough orientation so we were comfortable and to ensure our experience was positive. It was! The van had everything we needed for a 5 night camping trip. The bed was super comfortable and we loved having solar power. Even though we booked sites with electricity to be safe, we did not need it. They thought of everything - fly swatter, extra long rope that we used for a leash, cleaning supplies, extra blankets, hair dryer, mirror and a welcome basket! The only thing we missed is a toaster. Perfect space for two people and a dog. The compostable toilet is a bonus.
We truly enjoyed our time with “Sully” and will rent again for a longer trip.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
In a campground, only look for sites that have electricity. Although it is not required for full operations it will enhance the experience.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
You may leave you vehicle here upon pickup of van $10/day. Delivery/Pickup arranged in advance. Dropping off the RV must be arranged prior so we can check over the vehicle. Pick up for RV is 4:00pm EST (1600) and Drop off is 1:00pm EST (1300) Times outside of the window must be arranged ahead of time or subject to penalty.
