4.0Just got back from a wonderful week long trip up the coast of Maine in Ross’ Westfalia with our two small kids. Ross was an excellent host. His communication before during and after the trip was great. He thoroughly explained the ins and outs of the van upon arrival. The van was spotless and was stocked with so many things we needed and more (pots and pans, cups, plates, bowls and cutlery for 4, an awesome set of kitchen tools- knives, cutting board, spatula, tongs, peeler, and so much more). The van has a bunch of great compartments for storing gear during your trip. The closet next to the bench seat is surprisingly large and held all of our bedding including pillows + our jackets during the day. The snap on screen for the back hatch was perfect for keeping the bugs out and the fresh air flowing while sleeping! It was a hot week and we were a little nervous how we’d fair without a/c but the windows (especially the triangle vent windows up front) kept us very comfortable. The van has all the charm of years past but also some modern touches like Bluetooth radio, plugs, and USB ports. The fridge and stove worked great. Had to take off one star for mechanical due to some car trouble on the road, but both Ross and Outdoorsy were incredibly responsive and Ross worked hard to remedy the situation and get us back on the road as quickly as possible. We all rode comfortably. A car seat and booster seat fit on the bench in the back. The bedding provided was very comfortable! We were so sad for our trip to end. We had the best time and will be reliving our adventure for years to come.
