We had a great trip! The RV was in very good condition. After starting out we had a few questions and a quick call to Don resolved them in a matter of minutes.
Our trip was to see the headwaters of the Potomac River, Located in a small WV state park just north of Thomas, WV. It was a beautiful drive out there & that part of WV is mountainous. Only two directions there, UP or Down. Several wind farms (BIG windmills) and up close they are huge! We followed the Potomac, via a lot of back roads to Great Falls Ntl. PK. in Mc Lean, VA, must have crossed the river a 100 times. Lots of great scenery & the RV was just the right size (27ft) for the narrow windy roads we traveled. Major towns were; Cumberland, MD - Hancock, MD - Harpers Ferry, WV - Leesburg, VA - & lots of little towns in between. The pictures are 1. Fairfax stone St PK. WV (only about 4 acres) 2. The seepage from under the stone, which is considered the head water of the Potomac River 3. Great Falls Ntl. PK.. Lots of hiking & biking trails throughout our trip & also historic sites like the C&O canal. There is also Blackwater Falls ST. PK. Just outside of Davis, WV ten miles or so from Faiffax Stone park.
