Yes, any reservations completed for vehicles registered in Canada will be charged and paid out in CAD, even if you travel into the US from Canada.

Remember that you’re not technically required to provide amenities for your rentals. Love to have amenities are those wonderful surprises that create a truly memorable trip for your renter.&nbsp;

Pro tip: Store relevant items together in large bins so you can easily move them in or out of your RV per the renter’s request. Tape a list of items to the lid, then do a review once your vehicle is returned.

Take Great Photos
Photos are the number one way to get a renter to choose your RV over another. It isn’t enough to show them the outside and the interior: You will want a few photos that tell a story. When a renter looks at your photos, you want them to imagine themselves in that photograph. Create emotional attachment and your booking rates will go up.

Favorites and Social Sharing
Listings get a boost when they’re &#8220;favorited&#8221; by our members and shared on social networks. So don’t hesitate to share your listing to your own social networks (you’ll likely find new renters there too).

How do I make my listing stand out?

Yes, other than being able to list an RV or trailer, many hosts offer accessories such as kayaks, canoes, bikes, scooters, ski equipment and other outdoor adventure gear. (Some will even stock the fridge full of beer upon request!). Make sure you include these add-ons in your listing, so guests know exactly what’s available.

Can I list anything other than an RV or motorhome?

Yes, many trailer owners on Outdoorsy also offer a tow vehicle with their rental. To do so, we recommend that you add your vehicle as an add-on to your trailer listing so that renters can select the vehicle during checkout. The first thing to know with your booking calendar is that keeping it up to date is a vital part of being the best Outdoorsy owner you can be. Having to decline requests due to your calendar showing available for dates that really aren’t, can affect your owner stats and no one wants that! Plus it’s always a bummer for a renter to land on a rig as cool as yours to then find out it’s not available. 
There are several reasons why you may not be able to rent out your rig on certain days, one of them being when you’ve finally decided to treat yourself to a vacation so you’re using it personally. 
There is a simple process to make sure that your calendar is always up to date! Follow these steps to block off dates that are unavailable.

<li>Go to My listings in your owner dashboard</li>
<li>Select the listing of the calendar you wish to update </li>
<li>Click on “availability” </li>
<li>Input the dates that are not available and double-check that the box beside your dates says Unavailable.</li>
<li>Click “Set availability” </li>
</ol>
Once you have completed those steps, your calendar will be updated and renters will no longer be able to request a booking for those dates. 
If ever you need to unblock dates that you previously set as unavailable, just follow the same steps but once you get to step 4, change the box beside your selected dates to “available” and hit the “set availability” button. Your rig will then reappear in the search for those days and renters can send over requests. 
Pro tip &#8211; Sometimes things come up suddenly so setting a weekly reminder on your smartphone to update your Outdoorsy calendar can help eliminate the chances of forgetting to block off dates!

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Winner selection and notification:</h3>



As described in &#8220;How to Enter,&#8221; winners will be selected at the end of the Contest Period. The winners will be notified via email addresses provided on the submission. In order to receive the prize, the potential winner must return email communications with Outdoorsy&#8217;s team to set the delivery conditions of the prize. If the potential winner fails to respond to the email within 7 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy&#8217;s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Outdoorsy may request paperwork that the potential winner will be required to complete in order to be awarded the prize (including, but not limited to, a publicity release, tax documentation, drivers license information, evidence of insurability, and/or liability release). The failure to do so will render the potential winner ineligible.



If the potential winner is under the age of 25, they will need to be accompanied on their reward trip by a verified driver (verified in Outdoorsy&#8217;s sole discretion) over the age of 25 who will be responsible for being the driver of the vehicle during the rental period and who will be legally responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions related to accepting and using the prize, including the provision of paperwork and the releases and indemnifications described in these Official Rules. The prizes will be available for redemption until December 31, 2026. The receipt of the prize offered in this Contest by the potential winner is conditional upon compliance with these Official Rules and any and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">General Terms:</h3>



Decisions made by Outdoorsy are final and binding in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prizes. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Contest materials submitted to Outdoorsy. By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the &#8220;Released Parties&#8221;) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. The indemnity covers both claims arising out of the Contest itself, and claims arising from any use of the prizes.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Limitation of Liability:</h3>



Outdoorsy is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors, or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, malfunctions, delays, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (4) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or postage-due entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by entrant&#8217;s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and State of Texas without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively and solely before a state or federal court located in Austin, Texas. No, this will only affect listings that have been listed as a stay

Ending Stay listings FAQ

You&#8217;ve booked an RV and are getting stoked for your camping vacation &#8211; hooray! Now, let&#8217;s say you want to change your payment method after you&#8217;ve booked your trip. No problemo. Depending on when your trip departs, different charges, like the security deposit, can occur at different times. 4.) That&#8217;ll bring up a pop-up allowing you to change your payment method for the specific reservation. You can also check a box to &#8216;set this as your default payment option&#8217; for all bookings.

How do I update my payment method?

UPDATE: As of July 2025, Roamly Weather Coverage will no longer be offered to purchase with Outdoorsy bookings. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.



Roamly has partnered with Sensible to provide a product that allows you to purchase coverage for the duration of your trip and be able to receive a refund in the event of bad weather.



Available in the U.S. only, for all RVs, this additional Roamly Weather Coverage provides protection for your trip in the event of unexpected bad weather. Possible coverage is based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).



For example, if it rains more than the amount quoted (based on the NOAA day-of-forecast), then Sensible will automatically provide a refund to you, based on the current weather at the location of your trip.



When you initially purchase coverage from Roamly Weather, you will see some basic information outlining your coverage and its parameters:



What to expect:



A forecasted &#8220;light rain&#8221; of 1.5 mm, or more, for 3+ hours will trigger the daily coverage. We&#8217;ll alert you if bad weather is on the horizon. Don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;ll only text you if it&#8217;s important &#8211; aka you have money available. Light rain is when you walk outside, and the ground looks like it&#8217;s been raining, think small puddles. 



How&#8217;s the coverage triggered?



3 &#8211; 6 hours of rain = $51.93/day 6+ hours of rain = $103.86/day



This is just an example of what you&#8217;ll see when you consider purchasing coverage. The expected forecast, details, and amount of possible refunds.&nbsp;



If the weather during your trip is considerably worse than anticipated, based on the previous NOAA forecast, Sensible will notify you via text message and issue reimbursement automatically!

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">How do I purchase Roamly Weather Coverage?</h3>



Weather Coverage is offered when you make your reservation online for any stationary RV bookings where the RV is delivered and set up at a destination, or for campsite bookings, because the service requires an address to calculate the coverage.



You will also be able to purchase Weather Coverage after your booking is confirmed, from the Trips details page in your account.



Note! Roamly weather coverage can only be quoted and purchased for trips that are less than three months long.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is Roamly Weather Coverage the same as Trip Protection?</h3>



No, Roamly Weather Coverage is a separate offering from both Trip Protection and Damage Protection.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">How is the covered amount determined?</h3>



The covered amount is based on the total cost of your booking when coverage is purchased.&nbsp;



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">How long do I have to purchase coverage?</h3>



Roamly Weather Coverage is available for purchase up until the day before your trip begins. If your trip starts today, you will not be able to purchase coverage.&nbsp;



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What happens if I change the dates of my trip?</h3>



Because coverage is based on a specific date range and forecast, if you change the dates of your trip then your Roamly Weather Coverage will be removed and need to be repurchased for your new trip dates.&nbsp;



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Can I cancel my Weather Coverage?</h3>



You have 24 hours after the purchase of Roamly Weather Coverage to cancel it. After 24 hours have passed, then coverage will not be able to be removed without canceling the booking.&nbsp;



Note! If Roamly Weather Coverage is added within 14 days of your booking&#8217;s start date, then the option to remove the coverage will not be available.&nbsp;



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What happens to my coverage if my booking is canceled?</h3>



If the booking is canceled prior to departure, then the entire cost of Roamly Weather Coverage will be refunded to you.&nbsp;



Note! If the booking is canceled on, or after, departure then Roamly Weather Coverage will be nonrefundable.&nbsp;
