Recycle
trash and bring recycables to your campground’s recycle bins. Not all campgrounds have recycling facilities, though. In those cases, surrounding towns usually do. It’s worth a quick Internet search to find out where public recycling receptacles are in your area.
BYOB
Bring your own bottle — everywhere. Be kind to the environment by not buying bottled water and bringing a reusable bottle wherever you go. Even if you invest in a water filter for your RV, you’ll be saving money in the long run.
Save gas
This one is a win-win. Conserving fuel is better for the environment and your wallet, and it’s not as difficult as you might think. Things like using overdrive and cruise control when you can helps fuel economy. Bringing a bicycle along on your RV trips is good for more than just fun on the bike trails and beaches. Bikes can be a second mode of transportation for groceries and supplies once you get to your campsite, possibly eliminating the need for a tow vehicle depending on your destination.
