<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Claim entire security deposit: If charges exceed the security deposit amount, be sure to select this option. This will withhold the entire amount from the renter.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">The security deposit will auto-release if no claim is filed after 7 days. No action is needed by owner.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">If a claim is indicated within the 2-day time frame, the security deposit will be retained for 30 days instead of 7 days.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">If an owner wishes to release the deposit earlier, they can contact <a href="mailto:support@outdoorsy.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">support@outdoorsy.com </a>or 1-877-723-7232 and Outdoorsy will release the funds.</li>

How do I manage my security deposit (especially if I need to charge my renter after their trip)?

<p>Calling all Outdoorsy hosts, charging for extra miles and generator hours just got easier.</p>



<p>Just look for the Record mileage and generator button on the Bookings page for the trip. This appears 2 days before the trip begins.</p>



<p>You’ll enter your mileage and / or generator readings twice.</p>



<ul><li>Enter your starting miles and / or generator hours before the trip begins.<ul><li>Take photos of your odometer and generator meter, as well.<br></li></ul></li><li>Enter your ending miles and / or generator hours when you get your vehicle back.<ul><li>Take photos again.</li></ul></li></ul>



<p>Once you enter the ending values, we’ll calculate any overage charges for you. You’ll see a breakdown of what the guest owes, based on the mileage and generator settings for your listing. At that point, you can decide whether to charge the guest or not.</p>



<p>To charge the guest, select the Process overage fee button. We’ll charge the guest’s payment method on file.</p>



<p>If you allow unlimited mileage and generator hours for a listing, you will not see anything about this new process on your Bookings pages.</p>



<p><strong>No more calculating overages yourself</strong></p>



<p>This new process gives you a fast way of seeing whether your guest used more miles or generator hours than what their rental included. And, an easy way to charge for it.</p>



<p>You can now stop using the Collect extra fees process to charge the guest’s security deposit for mileage and generator overages.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The new process also gives your guests better transparency into how many extra miles and / or hours they used. And, how much they paid for any overage.</p>



<p><strong>Reminders</strong></p>



<ul><li>You have 7 days after a trip ends to collect extra mileage and generator hour fees.<br></li><li>Charging for extra miles and generator hours is optional. If you decide not to charge the guest after seeing the overage, perhaps because it’s really low, simply ignore the Process overage fee button.</li></ul>



<ul><li>You can set both your per-day usage limits for mileage and generator and the cost for going over. To adjust your settings, go to your listing and:<br><ul><li>Select Pricing from the left-hand menu if you’re using the website.<br></li><li>Select Mileage charges or Generator charges from the menu if you’re using the app.</li></ul></li></ul>

<p>From the My account dropdown in the upper right, select Upcoming trips. </p>



<p>Select the trip you need to update the card for. Then, scroll down to and expand the Payment &amp; cancellation section.</p>



<p>Under Payment details, select Change payment method. Then, open the dropdown and select Add payment method.</p>



<p>Once you’ve added your card, any upcoming payments for the trip will go on your new card. The card will also be saved to your account.&nbsp;</p>

A winner making a booking on the Outdoorsy.com platform agrees that additional criteria may be imposed by the listed vehicle’s owner. If the booking value exceeds the US$1,000.00 credit, then the winner will be solely and completely responsible for covering the booking expenses beyond the prize amount. Such booking must purchase the maximum available insurance coverage offered through the Outdoorsy.com booking platform. Outdoorsy will not be responsible for covering additional trip costs on and/or off platform, including but not limited to, mileage overage fees, gas, campground reservations, airfare or any other costs and expenses. <h3>Winner selection and notification</h3>



<p>As described in “How to Enter,” three potential winners will be selected each calendar week during the Contest Period. The three potential winners’ submissions will be published and displayed (anonymously) on multiple channels, including but not limited to paid social, other organic communities, and partner channels. Users of such channels may vote on their favorite submission, and the submission with the most votes will be selected as a potential winner.&nbsp; In the event of a tie, Outdoorsy in its sole discretion may select the winner. The potential winner will be notified via email addresses provided on the submission. In order to receive the prize, the potential winner must return email communications with Outdoorsy’s team to set the delivery conditions of the prize. If the potential winner fails to give respond to the email within 14 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy’s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries.&nbsp; Outdoorsy may request paperwork that the potential winner will be required to complete in order to be awarded the prize (including, but not limited to, a publicity release, tax documentation, drivers license information, evidence of insurability, and/or liability release). <h4>General terms</h4>



<p>Decisions made by Outdoorsy are final and binding in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prize. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Contest materials submitted to Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, or any part of it, if any virus, bugs, other technical failures, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond Outdoorsy’s control impair the administration, security, integrity, or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Outdoorsy in its sole discretion. <h4>Release and indemnification</h4>



<p>By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. <h4>Limitation of liability</h4>
