OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

Outdoorsy Get Outta Here Project Terms and Conditions

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR BE SELECTED FOR THE PRIZE(S). 

A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

This contest (the “Contest”) is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States. Void where prohibited by law. Only offered to residents in the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec).

Contest period

The Contest begins at 5:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST) on May 23, 2022 and ends at 11:59 pm (CST) on September 5, 2022 (the “Contest Period”). During the Contest Period, Outdoorsy will select weekly potential winners (see “How to Enter” and “Winner selection and notification” for details on additional requirements regarding entry timing and winner selection process during the Contest Period. Outdoorsy reserves the right to cancel the Contest at any time and for any reason without notice.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to residents of the U.S. and its territories, the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Officers, directors, and employees of Outdoorsy or its affiliates, and related companies, and the immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such officers, directors, and employees are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable Texas and US laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

Agreement to official rules

By entering and participating in the Contest, you, the entrant, fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Outdoorsy, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you, the entrant, grant Outdoorsy permission to send you emails, which you may opt out of at any time.

How to enter

Submission of entries (the skills-test) must be made during the Contest Period. Participation consists of an entry form located behind the designated “Enter now” digital button interface from the Get Outta Here landing page at www.outdoorsy.com/get-outta-here. You must fill in all of the fields as directed.

Three potential winners of the skills-test will be selected by Outdoorsy (in its sole discretion) each calendar week during the Contest Period. The three potential winners’ submissions will then be published and displayed (anonymously) on multiple channels, including but not limited to paid social and other organic communities. Users of such channels may vote on their favorite submission, and the submission with the most votes will be selected as a potential winner.  

Outdoorsy is not responsible for entries made but not received and/or accepted, and that such entries are void, including but not limited to:

  • Lost entries
  • Late entries
  • Incomplete, damaged, or otherwise impossible to process entries
  • Technical failures in the entry process (e.g., website crash)
  • Fraudulent interference with the entry process (e.g., sending in multiple entries under pseudonyms)

User-generated content: If the Contest involves taking submissions of user-generated content (UGC) that entrants have created, UGC submissions will be deemed ineligible for the following reasons:

  • They contain third-party content
  • They contain illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content
  • They were not created by the entrant
  • They have previously been published or otherwise made public elsewhere
  • They contain personally identifiable information (except for the entrant’s personally identifiable information) or other sensitive/confidential content
  • Any other reason of the Sponsor

Prize

The prize consists of: US$1,000.00 in credits for exclusive use on Outdoorsy.com, plus an “escape pack” of partner products with an estimated average value up to US$2,000.00. The prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. The right to receive the prize is not transferable, assignable, and no substitutions or cash equivalents are permitted except at Outdoorsy’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. Thousand Trails complimentary four consecutive nights of camping on an RV site at any participating Thousand Trails Campground, Encore RV Resort or destination campground featured on RVontheGo.com, a $300 value, restrictions below. The complimentary stay at any campground featured on RVontheGo.com is subject to availability and reservations are required. Stay must be completed by June 15, 2023 and booked by June 1, 2023. Travel to and from the property and other expenses of the trip, such as food and personal items, are not included. The stay must be one consecutive period of time and any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited. Holidays and special events are excluded. The following resorts are excluded from the promotion: Bethpage Campground, Grey’s Point Campground, Fiesta Key RV Resort, Sunshine Key RV Resort, San Francisco RV Campground, Grandy Creek Campground, Little Diamond Campground, Indian Lakes Campground, St. George RV Campground, Desert Vista RV Campground, Pine Island RV Resort, Okeechobee RV Resort, Timber Creek RV Campground, Acorn RV Campground, Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch, Pine Haven Camping Resort, and Marina Dunes RV Resort.

Outdoorsy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or a portion of the prize) of equal or greater value for any reason. Outdoorsy will not replace the prize if it is lost or stolen. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. By accepting the prize, the winner grants its permission for Outdoorsy to use the winner’s name, picture, social media pseudonym and city and state for purposes of advertising and trade without further consent or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Outdoorsy makes no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the ability to use the prize to book and rent any particular vehicle listed on the Outdoorsy.com platform. A winner making a booking on the Outdoorsy.com platform agrees that additional criteria may be imposed by the listed vehicle’s owner. If the booking value exceeds the US$1,000.00 credit, then the winner will be solely and completely responsible for covering the booking expenses beyond the prize amount. Such booking must purchase the maximum available insurance coverage offered through the Outdoorsy.com booking platform. Outdoorsy will not be responsible for covering additional trip costs on and/or off platform, including but not limited to, mileage overage fees, gas, campground reservations, airfare or any other costs and expenses. All bookings on the Outdoorsy.com platform must fully comply with the terms and conditions and other policies therein.

Winner selection and notification

As described in “How to Enter,” three potential winners will be selected each calendar week during the Contest Period. The three potential winners’ submissions will be published and displayed (anonymously) on multiple channels, including but not limited to paid social, other organic communities, and partner channels. Users of such channels may vote on their favorite submission, and the submission with the most votes will be selected as a potential winner.  In the event of a tie, Outdoorsy in its sole discretion may select the winner. The potential winner will be notified via email addresses provided on the submission. In order to receive the prize, the potential winner must return email communications with Outdoorsy’s team to set the delivery conditions of the prize. If the potential winner fails to give respond to the email within 14 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy’s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries.  Outdoorsy may request paperwork that the potential winner will be required to complete in order to be awarded the prize (including, but not limited to, a publicity release, tax documentation, drivers license information, evidence of insurability, and/or liability release). The failure to do so will render the potential winner ineligible. If the potential winner is under the age of 25, they will need to be accompanied on their reward trip by a verified driver (verified in Outdoorsy’s sole discretion) over the age of 25 who will be responsible for being the driver of the vehicle during the rental period and who will be legally responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions related to accepting and using the prize, including the provision of paperwork and the releases and indemnifications described in these Official Rules. The prize will be available for redemption until September 4, 2023. The receipt of the prize offered in this Contest by the potential winner is conditional upon compliance with these Official Rules and any and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

General terms

Decisions made by Outdoorsy are final and binding in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prize. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Contest materials submitted to Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, or any part of it, if any virus, bugs, other technical failures, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond Outdoorsy’s control impair the administration, security, integrity, or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Outdoorsy in its sole discretion. Outdoorsy in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, Outdoorsy reserves the right to seek damages from such persons to the fullest extent permitted by law. Outdoorsy’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that term.

Release and indemnification

By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. The indemnity covers both claims arising out of the Contest itself, and claims arising from any use of the prizes.

Limitation of liability

Outdoorsy is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors, or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, malfunctions, delays, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (4) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or postage-due entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. This includes such failures that might result in more winners than planned are issued.

Disputes

This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and State of Texas without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively and solely before a state or federal court located in Austin, Texas. Further, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Privacy policy

Information submitted with an online entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on Outdoorsy’s website.

Winner name and rules

To obtain a copy of the winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Outdoorsy. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage. Requests must be received during the Contest Period.
