As you know, Outdoorsy is always focused on driving more bookings for our owners through strategic partnerships. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working to refine our partnership with Facebook Marketplace and—given the hundreds of bookings it has driven—we are very eager to expand the relationship.
There are a few updates for the new implementation, most notably that we will be working with Facebook on a specific RV rental experience that we’ll share more on in the future. In the interim, due to the fact that Facebook Marketplace is a sales platform, Facebook is now requiring us to list a sales price for every vehicle while listed in the RV sales category of the marketplace. While not ideal, we will be showing an estimated sales price of the vehicle but will be clearly stating the vehicle is [For Rent] in the listing description, as well as through the Outdoorsy chatbot on Facebook messenger. We are working on a solution that will allow owners to edit their estimated price with the launch, but your listing may launch in the Facebook marketplace feed prior to that functionality being available in the owner dashboard.
Owners have the option to opt out of this service by emailing fboptout@outdoorsy.com. Owners who have already opted out are not required to opt out again.
As always, keep in mind this is a free premium service for our owners and it will drive more visitors and bookings to your listings. It will require no additional effort or payment on your part—it’s simply a tool to help drive more renters to your listing.
Stay tuned for more partnership announcements in the very near future!
