About Katy Johnson
Born and raised in Thunder Bay, I have enjoyed many summers camping with my family throughout the region. I love all things nature and seek to explore new places all the TIME- something I wish I had more of. I have worked for 20 years as a nurse, and I'm blessed to have two wonderful kids and a little dog that I love dearly. I invested in this trailer with the intention of having adventures with my kids, but life happens, and kids get busier, so I decided that sharing my love for camping with other like-minded people might just be a win-win.

Katie was easy to work with and responded very quickly to any request. The trailer was very clean and well taken care of. The bed was comfy but hard to make and get out of as it is located against the wall. Chairs, an outdoor rug and an outdoor stove were included, which was appreciated. The build quality of the trailer was not great. Drawers and cupboards were hard to open; the thermostat cover fell off and disappeared (Katie told us later that this often happens). We had help towing the vehicle from a relative with years of towing experience. Our relative had help from Steve (Katie's partner) hooking things up and was unhappy with the tightness of the tow bar, but Steve insisted. As a result, the tow bar broke. We were charged $100 to replace this part which did not seem quite fair. The clean water holding tank was very tiny; we ran out of water in 2 days (our campground did not have hose hookup). There was no funnel provided with the rental to fill up the water by hand, leaving us to jimmy a fix. It was awkward and annoying as we had to fill up this way for the last 3 days. One other important thing lacking was a mirror - we had to borrow one from friends.
