Imagine sitting next to a warm crackling fire parked next to one of Alaska's 3 million lakes taking in the vast beauty that this wonderful state has to offer. My wife and I are lifelong Alaskans and are always seeking the outdoors that is nearly limitless just out our front door. Two lifetimes of exploration allows us to bring to the table a distilled amount of advise and suggestions we give all our guests to ensure an amazing vacation. From provided coffee, to the option to rent a canoe, stand up paddle board, or bicycles, we have everything you need to make your Alaskan experience not just great, but incredible.I have a clean and well maintained Chevy Suburban, highly modified for Alaskan overland adventures. From the outside, it just looks like a tough suburban with a mild lift and oversized tires. As you look closer, you will notice an optional roof rack, solar panels, and a solar heated water tank for a outdoor shower, or running water when you need it. As you look inside, you really start noticing the modifications. The rear seats have been removed and a custom bed built in. It is as long as a Queen, and as wide as a full. I am 6' 3" and I sleep just fine. We have installed tongue-in-groove pine planks and recessed 12volt led can lights, shelving systems, and power ports for both 12 volt and 120 volt power, and topping it off with a portable electric refrigerator. This overland truck comes complete with:
-12V refrigerator/freezer
-110V inverter
-camping table and chairs
-map book and a copy of 'The Milepost', Alaska's premiere mile by mile guidebook
-2 butane camp stoves
-pots and pans
-12V oven
-coffee and coffee prep equipment
-dishware, silverware, kitchenware
-large collapsible bowl to wash dishes in
-bear spray
-extra rain/sun shelter
-insulated blackout shades for sleeping area
-Sheets, 2 thick blankets, pillows, and towels
.......And all the little camping amenities that I am sure I am forgetting that you will need to make your Alaska adventure awesome! All this is packaged into a super easy to drive suburban outfitted and ready for your Alaskan adventure.Get ready for an epic Alaskan adventure with this truck. wake up next to a lake and have hot coffee while watching the swans and loons through the gentle mist while the sun warms the day. Early pickup
This is for early pickup of the vehicle of 4 hours per fee. For example, if you want the vehicle 8 hours early, it will be $100 fee. My wife and I are lifelong Alaskans and we love going on adventures exploring this incredible and vast state. We find joy in showing others the wonders Alaska has to offer. We run a RV rental business, an AirBnB, and work full time, so we definitely stay busy! Growing up in Alaska allows me to pass on my wealth of information to others so they can get a better experience from my trial and errors.

We had a fantastic time on the trip exploring Alaska. The truck was in great condition and had everything we needed. I would recommend getting the shower option if you are camping since most campgrounds don’t have showers.

We love the suburban. It was easy and we had everything we could think of. There were a couple of truly minor glitches like the magnets foe the back window cover needed replacing but the truck came with duct tape so we improvised. It was much cooler in Alaska then we were anticipating and we were glad the the warmth of an enclosed and isolated rig. The map on the hood definitely gave us a chance to meet other travelers doing what we did in the morning - we are here and we are going over here so …. Haha. It was awesome.

Very comfortable bed and the suburban had everything we might have needed and more for a week traveling around southern Alaska. If you want something to grab and go explore Alaska, this is your ride!

A regrettable experience renting from Erik and his Suburban. The car is older and had issues during the trip that Erik never responded to and left us to deal with on our own.
Before and during the trip, Erik was very difficult to communicate with, often waiting days for him to respond.
The camper has plenty of useful toys to enjoy a camping experience but given its small storage space there ends up being no extra room for your own gear.
I rented a sprinter van in Iceland and Australia that had an indoor kitchen. I didn't realize how valuable that feature was until it's time for dinner while its 40 degrees and raining outside. I would highly recommend finding a van with a better storage layout and a kitchen.

This is a perfect vehicle for two people to explore Alaska. It comes with all the amenities you might need for camping and more. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of space for our bags. The outdoor shower was just enough was for two people to take a quick shower. The only issue was we had trouble keeping the battery topped off enough to keep the dometic cooler powered on. Also we loved having bikes with us- what a great addition! Erik was great to communicate with and the instructions for pickup were very clear. He even provided a few tips for great places to camp and things to do. It was much appreciated!
